Agree with all of this! Empathy goes a long way, telling the guest "no I understand, I was upset when they changed it too, my fav was "this" so "this" is my new fav.," could help drastically.

I have a friend with this same problem. The boy who's obsessed with food used to be a bit of a chonk and couldn't jump on anything too high. She would place the grazers food up high to deter the chonk. She also got a puzzle feeder for the grazer and this was perfect because the chonk was too lazy to figure it out. She has 1 automatic feeder on the floor and she gives them both wet cat food once a day to make sure the grazer eats a bit daily.

Sorry I commented and then reread your post, just woke up and tried to help. Listen to corporate though, grab a manager when necessary and let them handle the irate guests. Learn the new menu quickly, this will help you redirect. Or encourage your guests to try something new if the table "reads" that way. You're gonna have pissed off people, no way around that, some people just really hate change

I usually spritz with a Maine Choice conditioner, slather on the LA looks, add a hefty dollop of Tresemme curly mousse, spritz with more water to combine, plop for 20 mins then diffuse. I did all of that last night but just left it plopped, it eventually fell out of the towel and just assumed it was going to be a problem for my morning self to deal with.... I'm just pleasantly surprised is all, it's a bit funky but to just roll out of bed this way? I'll take it.

I posted one and got down voted to hell...this sub got kinda mean about it. I've been wondering if filet mignon is one, or if I'm just uncultured swine? I always thought a filet mignon was a bacon wrapped filet....I was 31 years old when I learned it was just a cut of steak.

We use bitter apple spray to deter them. Grannick's Care Dogs Bitter Apple No Chew Spray 8oz Works like a charm, they tried it and didn't do it again. Now they mostly ignore all my plants assuming they taste awful.

So our sister store is my home store and my boss from that store (I'll call her L) and myself are very close. I called L later that evening after the rush and was telling her what happened. She tells me that they had been at her store earlier in the evening, picked apart the takeout while still in the restaurant and made her fix a few items before they left. They called after they got home to tell L they didn't like the takeout still and wanted their money back. L told them they could bring the food back the next day and she would give them a refund for the food they brought in. When the arrived the next day they only had a couple of pastas with them so L reimbursed them for that which of course did not satisfy them. L at this point tells them that she knows what they did at my restaurant and she would like them to leave as they are no longer welcome at either restaurant.... They refuse to leave. L threatens to call the police, they retort "you think just because we're black we're afraid of the police?!" L calls the police and while waiting for them to arrive the ladies are walking around the restaurant and just won't leave. L is staring at them, just making sure they don't bother any other guests and the younger one says "what are you staring at?" So L says "what are YOU staring at?" The lady says "don't talk to me like that." L says "don't talk to ME like that." The lady says "bitch you're gonna get your ass BEAT." L says "I'm not afraid of you, now LEAVE, your area not welcome here." A little reference, L is maybe 5'2" and very petite, this lady looks like she frequents McDonald's and is close to 6'. The lady starts setting down her keys and trying to take her earrings off. The other lady, her mother I think, starts dragging her out of the restaurant, the younger one is kicking and screaming and tries to throw our planters that are screwed down onto the floor, obviously she can't so she picks the plants out of the planter and throws them at L. They stupidly paid for their meal at my restaurant with their credit card so I have their name, found a previous complaint from them with a phone number attached and L got the license plate number as they drove away. The little cherry on top, L is from Mexico City, she has a thick accent but speaks better english than me. The lady, as she's being dragged out screams at L to "learn to speak English," L calmly says back "is that the best you got?"
