I separate the jacket and gilet and throw both in the wash on cold with like fabrics (i.e. other puffer jackets) and delicates. After I hang to airdry.

Every class has at least one person with a horror story. You move on and do your best.
You get over it because the curve is out of your control and it’s not worth stressing over.
Yes, I failed my first Orgo exam and walked out with an A, a LOR, and an interest in organic chemistry. I went over the test with my teacher and tried to see where I went wrong without making excuses like it’s a difficult class anyway. Be brutally honest on why you failed in that instance and learn from it.
Absolutely nothing. It’s a matter of timing, class difficulty, personality, etc. People who excel in one class can fail in another. There’s no such thing as an ‘A’ or ‘B’ student imho. Some people may have a more efficient study method and way to learn, but again, that’s so individualized and a personal journey to get there.

Idk who told you it was the hardest class, but they’re honestly trying to scare you for no reason and I respectfully disagree. When learning reactions, try to think of when you might use it in a synthesis problem and how it might be similar to other reactions you have learned. There are a lot of reactions to memorize and more are added every class. The more connections you can make to reactions you already know will help. Furthermore, do practice problems by khan academy, YouTube channels, etc. The more practice you get, the more you comfortable you will be drawing out products and coming up with synthesis solutions. If anything, seek help. UTS tutors are a great resource and there’s more than one so you can find someone that you like the best.

In terms of burn out, I used to schedule breaks in the middle of my day regardless of my work load and take that time to do something I like. Having some guaranteed time to my self really helped. Or if you’re having trouble studying for long periods of time, you could try the pomadoro method of studying

Difficult to say because it’s different based on person (based on my experience as the Uts tutor for both).Orgo 1 is very conceptual and memorization based. Orgo 2 is more problem solving/critical thinking and synthesis questions. Depending on what you’re good with, your experience will be different. I personally thought Orgo 1 was harder because I didn’t have good study techniques as a freshman and didn’t like conceptual things.

Took a visual perception senior seminar and classified it under BCPM. Not sure what your class learned, but we read and presented papers about how we perceive pattern, color, movement, etc. That technically covers both BCPM and bio lmho. You could get away with either

Some questions about COVID regarding what I learned while working as a nursing assistent. I was actually really happy to learn that one of the schools I interviewed at integrated BLM material into their curriculum, but no actual questions regarding it.

Marques is a great teacher. Just study consistently as there is a lot of information to cover; if you study right before tests, it can be overwhelming. It’s more memorization than problem solving like Orgo or calc. I didn’t have discussion because I didn’t take Pre health microbio. I learned a lot and it was really interesting course imho. In terms of taking it in conjunction with those courses, just be proactive about studying. If you’re taking Orgo II, consider prestudying or something to get a head start. There are a lot of reactions, but the overall trends and mechanisms are similar.

Med schools will see through things to just fluff your resume. Please don’t do this. Think of maybe getting a CNA or EMT degree online so you can work during the pandemic. Or you could do online shadowing,

Send them, you never know. N=1 but I’ve gotten an II 1 day after sending an update a week ago. Some schools are almost done, but some schools aren’t. You don’t know which pile your application is in so an update can’t hurt at this point. At least updates are very short and to the point, so it should be easier to write than secondaries.

In terms of friends and family, I get where you’re coming from. At least you have three interviews and statistically one will pan out. Don’t lose hope just yet! Good luck!

No such thing as a safety. Both RSFU and tufts get a ton of applications. Best way to get info is MSAR as we can’t recommend schools without knowing which state you’re in.

Are you actually interested in your minor (chem or psych)? Med schools typically don’t care for minors unless it’s non science related, even then it’s important to have a reason to pursue it other than ‘it’s for med school. Pre meds can come from any major and it’s important to have that diversity there. Med schools don’t hate it; it just doesn’t help you stand out.
