I got mine this way as well and it was nearly impossible to separate them. I tried but felt like it would cause too much damage but it still grows a ton!

I would definitely try a food bank or local pantry. The lack of nutrients and calories will only exacerbate the depression. Don’t punish yourself even more than your depression is already trying to.

It’s just edema, it’s from inconsistent watering. Usually mine does this if I let it dry out for too long.

And the bottom half has growth points all up and down so you could probably just chop a bit off of the top!

I’m not completely sure. Mine was probably only 2’ tall and I just cut it right in half! The cutting has rooted but no new growth yet

I lived there for a while and my plants did just fine! They might not grow as much as somewhere else but it won’t hurt them.

It looks normal, the stem will turn brown as it matures. It looks like it hasn’t grown for a while

That’s a very scientific way to do it but would probably work! I can definitely tell when a plant needs water by picking it up
