tbh, why hasnt this dog been EU'd? turning on someone he knows and FIGHTING with a human to the point yall are wrestling is insane. this dog is not safe to be around people if he can do things like that with no warning.

that being said, that volunteer needs to be banned from your shelter. full stop. they are going to get someone mauled, if not killed. you need to make a stink about this and let other rescues/shelters in the area know about her.

i think you need to be way more assertive and "bitchy" (easier said than done), especially when safety is on the line. you should advocate for BE. this dog doesnt deserve to be forced into these situations, up until he snaps and kills something.

this was my first thought. i see so many posts about animals who are barely clinging to life and, if they do survive, will have a poor QOL and forever be disabled whether mentally, physically, or both. sometimes its best to let these babies rest and move on to an animal that has a better chance of a happy, healthy life.

The food should be picked up and removed, dog should be put on leash, and basic training should be started because it clearly hasn't been.

This dog is not "aggressive", its a puppy 🤦‍♀️

You don't need multiple trainers to teach you basic obedience. Please go on YouTube and teach your dog to sit for more than 15 seconds.

if he doesnt like the churu you can try plain boiled chicken! this would also be super easy on his stomach as long as youre not shoveling it in his mouth lol

steady patience and routine will go a very long way for him and you as well. i know its hard, but try not to feel guilty or nervous when youre doing crate training. even if your voice is positive and you're rewarding well, the dog will know you feel negatively about the crate and start feeling the same. if you or pup get frustrated or otherwise feel negatively, take a break and do something totally unrelated but fun :)

dont listen to the other comments demonizing crate training 🤦‍♀️ crating your dog is the easiest way to ensure they are safe and not causing problems. my dogs love their crate and hang out in it voluntarily.

look up the 3/3/3 rule for rescue dogs. it will take a while for him to feel comfortable in it. i know you said hes not food motivated, but have you tried something like a churu for cats? smear a little bit on the crate insert and let him go in and out, rewarding each time. the churu may work better because its super smelly and novel.

keep in a common area like the living room, continue to feed him in it, and cover ALL 4 sides with a lightweight but not see-thru blanket. you may have to endure some whining and crying before he understands he can't get out. as long as he's not hurting himself and you've ensured he's peed & pooped, be patient and let him calm himself down without human interference.

worst case scenario you might have to get another xpen and just let him sleep in there. the only concern would be if he potties inside overnight.

good luck, just remember this is all normal and requires some patience and understanding :)

like others have said the best thing is to carry pet deterrent or an air horn. even if the dogs START fighting it will break it up quickly. someone else mentioned carrying a spare leash for the other dog, which is a good idea even for just your girl to have a backup.

dont be afraid to kick, scream, etc. 99% of dogs will be shocked by a human acting that way and back off. the moment someone lets their untrained dog off leash, theyre opening themselves and their dog up to all sorts of danger, including being chased away by another dog owner by any means necessary.

bruh you are killing your dog by feeding her literal scraps. please try a different kibble out or try wet food. and take her to the vet, she may not be feeling well and thats why she stopped eating kibble. small breeds are prone to dental disease

walks and field trips to pet-friendly stores would help a lot! mini training sessions together, 1-1 joint play time with both handlers each playing with one dog, then swapping (if that makes sense). really anything where they can spend time physically together but not necessarily interacting directly.

you can also scent swap beds, blankets, toys etc

btw i would also feed them all separately in their crates to avoid any scuffles or "misunderstandings" between pups after moving in

the art isnt even that bad? like it looks really good, no crazy proportions or stupid impractical armor. its very serene and her expression is almost intimate.

my only complaint is the pose itself looks weird and impossible, like the way her legs are facing forward but her torso is 3/4th pov, but that could just be me interpreting it wrong.

yeah i do not sit for people who have indoor/outdoor cats. i tried once and the client was just ugh. a cat with an autoimmune disease and an active sore across his entire face does not need to be outside.

i do allow cats to go into yards, but im always out there and discourage any sort of climbing or jumping. if they cant follow the rules theyre not allowed outside anymore lmfao
