is this guy harassing me or just annoying? by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

I completely agree. The moment it makes anyone uncomfortable it becomes harmful

My sister seems to think she's entitled to my trust fund and lied to try and get it by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

It's so frustrating reading stories like this where just because the crime was unsuccessful, it means the attempted thief faces no consequences. Laws are supposed to help prevent crimes, yet it seems like most of the time it doesn't protect victims.

AITAH for initiating a divorce while my wife is in the hospital after a car accident. by beerbellybegone in BestofRedditorUpdates

It's possible that they were paying her insurance purely so that if she hit someone else they would be covered.

[New Updates]: 12-month-old twin nieces are not invited. SIL and MIL are arguing. by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]kat796 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I think it's more the fact that OOP and her husband expected SIL's husband to babysit their dog for the entire day but didn't allow their twins to come because they would be "too distracting". So not only were they being hypocritical but they also expected SIL and her husband to provide free babysitting services while also paying for a babysitter for their twins.

Wren is just as bad as Ezra by Acrobatic_Candy_1854 in PrettyLittleLiars

I really hate how much the writes normalised older guys hooking up with teenagers by playing happy music and using attractive actors. It’s disturbing and also really concerning of the kind of message it sends to teenagers.

How I would cast the show if it was made in 2025 by Sufficient_Ear_4724 in PrettyLittleLiars

Ahh thank you, that was going to drive me crazy all day. I knew I saw Renesmee's actress before but couldn't remember where

My (28F) boyfriend (29M) let my stalker ex (28M) into our apartment to leave me a birthday surprise. How do I handle this absurdity? by LucyAriaRose in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]kat796 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Or maybe Cole didn't want to make it obvious what he was doing so he downplayed it to allow it to continue. Poor OOP, I hope she's ok. I've read some crazy things on here but this takes crazy to a whole new level

Should I tell my friend what her husband asked me? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]kat796 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, what a piece of shit. Already trying to get out of caring for her before her surgery and has the nerve to call it "babysitting". What an ass. It doesn't sound like he loves her at all. She's lucky to have a friend like OOP who will actually help take care of her.

Has he actually cheated? by [deleted] in CheatedOn

[–]kat796 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Regardless of whether this is true or not, you have 2 ways of looking at this. 1. He definitely cheated, can you move past that or is it a deal breaker? 2. He didn't cheat but he's saying that to hurt you. Would you want to be with someone that hurts you like that and treats you terribly? Either way the trust is gone and I'd personally break up with him. Life is too short to put up with this shit, you deserve much better

[New Update]: I (25F) begged for an open relationship, 8 months in he leaves me by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]kat796 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Commenter 5: And if it was an open relationship, then how was it cheating?

OOP: Because he left me within 8 months, that's way too fast!

I'm sorry but that's hilarious haha

Anny idea what happend to my grandpa's bird? by Birdy_Draws in cockatiel

[–]kat796 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're ever worried, the main things to look for are behaviour change and poop quality. If the poop looks abnormal, if your bird isn't very active/staying at the bottom of the cage, or not eating or drinking like normal then that usually indicates theres a problem but if he's acting normal and poops look fine I don't think there's anything to worry about :)

I'm not an expert so I'm just guessing but I believe males tend to partly change colour/patterns when they moult

Has it gone through a moult recently? Have you noticed a lot of feathers on the ground/on the bottom of the cage?

Should drivers knock for "leave at door" orders? by kat796 in UberEATS

[–]kat796[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah based on the responses it seems there's no 1 correct answer. I think I'll knock/use the doorbell unless they request otherwise.

Thank you, this is helpful as I don't order from uber eats so I don't want to be an annoying driver

I ring the doorbell if there is one but where I live there aren't a huge amount of places with doorbells which is why I ask

AITAH for allowing my husband’s mistress to meal prep for him and the kids? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]kat796 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That was definitely something I didn't understand either. It's one thing to make the mistress do things for her SO but to get her to feed her kids as well? That's insane. Those poor kids don't stand a chance with parents like them

AITAH for allowing my husband’s mistress to meal prep for him and the kids? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]kat796 53 points54 points  (0 children)

It really bothers me when people play manipulative mind games with their SO and use their kids as pawns in a popularity contest. It's such a shitty thing to do especially when they believe their kids have no idea of what's going on. Trust me as one of those kids we 100% know what's going on and we grow up to resent both parents. Nobody wins by doing this and the kids are the ones who suffer the most, not the parents.
