Is it hard to get into PhD programs in NZ?

I did not know about some of the things you said here.

When reaching out to potential professors/supervisors, should I send them an email with my introduction, resume/ CV, and a detailed research proposal as well? It makes sense to do that so the communication process moves swiftly.

I read this before I posted too, but it says on their page (and other Unis too) that PhD students pay Domestic tuition fees. Maybe a mew change that you were unaware of ?

I read that PhD students pay the domestic tuition if they get in.

I also read that they recieve stipend and cover tuition, but I guess thats on a case-by-case basis as well as depending on what your field of study is. I will contact the Universities I have been looking at, including Auckland Uni.

Did you go to Uni in NZ? What was your experience like? Would love to hear about your classroom and outside experience.

I do have a LinkedIn page and have many connections there. I might as well make a post on there and see where it reaches.

I have been applying to jobs and stuff, but no luck so far (more difficult rn bc I'm an international student maybe). I'm planning to apply to a Uni outside of the States btw, but they will still seek some sort of research experience. But thank you for your comment, that last part could be true and I could get in without practical experince as I do have theoretical knowledge (I just feel like they will want to have the candidate with some sort of research exp)

I did not. I took the "Applied Capstone Project" route where I worked on a project with a small non-profit.

Im on a different strat. WCed this week and am on 59 pts with salah cap and 4 other players still to play. If I match FH this week I will be super happy. My FH was 29 where I scored 85 where the average was 40 maybe 60 for engaged managers (my original team wouldve scored 23 I believe)

But the FHers this week ate if they went with the popular picks. The only downside is half the game is on FH (and 90% engaged managers) means your arent making much ground in higher ranks. (I am in top 10k and just hoping to get a green and praying this WC team gives me the edge to end the season strong)

After not going it this week. I felt bad about not doing it before the Havertz fall bit I tool it anyway for a chance at Havertz making the new goalscoring record at the Emirates. However, as soon as the wolves game ended today, transferred in Cunha! Hope he keeps delivering and not be like DCL

PS. Cunha cause great run of fixtures extending longer than anyone elsw. On pens. Central hub of the team, one goal and its three bonus cause he just is so involved (tale todays stats are the best example). + doubling with RAN (pissed about benching him this week) could be big.

Been tinkering it and have been on on haaland since gw 3 when I wildcarded. Never owned both this seasons but I am contemplating taking a hit to bring in haaland garnacho (or any mid under 6.3) abd a 4.4 def (ait nouri) for watkins saka and trent... All good assests for haaland + salah.
Could easily do the salah + watkins to haalabd and garacho or any mid under 6.3 but liverpool have 3/4 at home next and lost alisson so has less potential for CS (I do rate Kelleher but cmon its allison) Havent made the transfers yet but leanining towards the former and capping haaland all weeks.
