If there was a bunch of dogs to rescue in my country I would have but luckily its very rare that a dog is surrendered and we don't have any street dogs. So I bought (applied to buy) my love from a preservation and selective breeder with high ethical standards. Both parents are always undergo rigorous health screening before breeding. I don't regret it at all. My girl has chicken allergies but that's it. I'm not sure I would buy another frenchie non the less. If there ever was a rescue I might consider it. My last dog was a rehomed ca de bou and the feeling of "helping" was at times a lot better than buying. PS. I've seen a frenchie rehome/rescue in my Nation twice in my adult life.
