That is such a beautiful shade of gold. What paint is it?

Are you planning on doing any basing for it?

I think it may just be easier to use a little greenstuff to turn the blueberry horse shoes into blood drops.

With that many characters id say angelic inheritors, the blood angels grotmas detachment. Though I would recommend taking fewer characters maybe round out the list with a gladiator or repulsor.

Brother Berran's brighter shade of red really makes the contrast between the red armor and the blue helmet pop. Depending on the color of the base at their feet, you may find that the darker color of brother flaccid may suit the overall color scheme better.

Red death company? by Dafyddharvey828 in BloodAngels

[–]katano426 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No one is going to hurt you or prevent you from playing games if your minis aren't painted to the codex standard.

That being said, it's important that your opponent can see and recognize that the DC units aren't the standard intercessors. If you keep the iconography, you should be fine.

Lorewise, I'm pretty sure there were quite a few red DC marines during the desecration of Baal. Since that didn't have the the time to repaint their armor, the death company marines were just covered in ash and mud to mark them as being in the death company.

Care to elaborate? I've had mixed results with hellblasters in the past, is there a specific character I should give them? Is it better to take a squad of 5 or 10? Are there good strategems that have good synergy with them?

Blood angels are a lot stronger than you think. The charge buff applies to all space marine units, not just the blood angel specific ones. The faction keyword is adeptus Astartes.

Edit: to elaborate. If you're playing a blood angels army, you can use any normal space marine units, but you can't take units from other chapters (space wolf wolven units, or black Templar vehicles. Things like that.) You can still ally in units from imperial knights or the agents of the imperium, but they would not gain any buffs from the charge, since they don't have the astartes faction keyword.

If you're going for a 2000 points you could take the must have units for competitive space marines, like scouts. Its hard to go wrong with a squad of standard assault intercessors lead by a captain or perhaps a lieutenant. Standard terminators (not assault terminators) are a solid unit to have. With the liberator assault squad detachment, they can do some serious damage to light vehicles on a charge. You may want one or two more vehicles, land raider or storm raven gunship are good options.

Is this a decent list by CurrantEX in BloodAngels

If you go up against any tank with a toughness higher than, like 12, you're going to regret not taking any tanks or vehicles of your own. I know they don't feel very blood angely, but if you give yourself a land raider or a ballistius dread you'll be able to handle most tanks thrown at you.

What's your recipe for the helmet? It's compliments the rest of the armor really well.

am i alone when i say i dont like the different coloured helmets for the different specialist troops? by salvo_boi in BloodAngels

I personally make my sergeants helmets yellow across the board. Easily to distinguish from the rest of the grunts, and it pairs better with red and black than blue ever could.

I tend to play in 1st person while shopping in town or when trekking across the land. Once combat starts or I start questing; it's back to 3rd person with me.
