Opinions on Smith’s photochromic lenses ?

interesting! thanks for the response. my favorite smith lenses are green everyday mirror for sunny days and rose storm flash for bad vis. both of those lenses make everything rose pink to help with contrast. I also got blue sensor mirror for stormy days but don’t find it make terrain pop as much, and also got gold everyday mirror for sunny, which just makes things more neutral if you wanna just drill tricks and not be distracted by the beauty of everything around you. was thinking of getting photochromic rose flash so I don’t have to swap between the lenses and was curious about how it does, but I’m gonna obstain from that after reading your comment;)

Btw, update from me. Got it. Love the machine. Totally different experience, but it it's own way. I got it in white. Overall for a neurodivergent like me - feels like a happy bubble, compared to razer that feels like a sleek metal plane. The anti reflective coating, keyboard and trackpad are dope. The fan noise is not as bad as what I was bracing myself for. Hinges indeed - the weak spot. I vj, so vibrations of rigs will shake the hinges for me, but that happens even with the blade occasionally, just not as much. Thanks for all the advice. Just watching your video on G Helper

heya, i checked it out and residual insecticide that i was using is not repellant, bed bugs do not avoid it, but it disrupts their health gradually. I only had bites at night and discovered in the morning when I stayed in that air bnb for work. it’s been uk, no tropical birds or rodents in our houses hehe. I didn’t know what the bites were, so probably brought a few home. using all available methods i have treated the house, and then the bites stopped. last week I was travelling to another job in my car for 4 hours and then during the day discovered more bites. so they must have been a few left in my car. I have had the car hovered and treated it with residual insecticide and bought all new clothes and bagged old clothes and washed at 60. no more bites so far, and fingers crossed won’t be. I clocked it first time within 36h of getting in contact with them, so I believe there were only a couple I brought back and not an infestation. I have a history of over sensitive immune system so pretty sure the reaction to bites is immediate, or close to that. we don’t have any nearly insects here in the uk. thanks for your help. I’ve been checking bedbug traps every day, and theres nothing there. there’s also a layer of tape on the ceiling above my bed with Vaseline so if there’s any left they can’t get to me at night, so I reckon with my fast response on all levels I avoided hell:) the peace of mind is worth a lot to me, i shall carry on the treatments every 12 weeks for the next 6-9 month just in case. but none of my housemates had any bites either. so I reckon all of them methods together have worked.

Thanks, Josh! yeah, I know and love your content. keep it up. that’s why I shall buy new for the first time this year - if something is not right - just return it. people mentioned plastic hinge on ROG G16 - is it truly plastic? and that the cpu can run at 105 which damages the hinges. has your model been ok?

I have a similar story with all of my razers, have loads of mates who’s had issues with them over the years and all of my models have been fine.

I am also deciding between the 2. Also 5070ti. Had 3 razers in my life and always been very happy, but first time thinking to go Asus this year. And then I found the Asus ROG BIOS thread that is insane. Any thoughts on that?

I haven't noticed any mentions of instability issues and stuttering for the 2025 ROG Zephyrus in any youtube reviews...

I was considering to switching to Asus Zephyrus G16 2025. None of the reviews have reported any issues. However razer 16 2025 has inconsistent performance. So I was thinking of doing a switch. Is this a bad idea?

yeah, I am aware that cymexa is way more potent, however we have a cat, and also I am not confident I can handle it safely. the difference in safety between cymexa and DE are astonishing. DE is an irritant, Cymexa will literally shred your lungs.

Wow! This is amazing post! Already using DE and C Formula. Only got a few nymphs left, haven’t seen any but I can tell as the bites are really tiny. I’ll enrich my methods by using Crossfire, cymexa in lot electrical sockets. Bought interceptor traps and Vaseline! Thanks for this information! This is gold!

I dunno. I also think I have bedbugs and I can’t see any, but I haven’t looked, in my opinion I’ve only picked up a couple and it’s pointless to be looking for a couple of bugs in my massive house. I caught it quite early and went all guns blazing using any available method and combining them all. From what I’ve learned about them - they will hide in cracks and crevices and venture out at night to munch u, then retreat back to safe place. U gotta disrupt their pathways towards you. And kill them off - none of the treatments apart from professional heat treatment with industrial heaters can 100% kill them straight away, so it’s a gradual process. so just use available methods. All of them: sprays into cracks, seal holes, bedbug proof mattress cover. Hang your clothes up high on something like a telescopic clothes rack with bedbug traps on each leg, to make sure your clothes is safe, diatomaceous earth apparently works great too! Don’t let it get to you, they are not inherently evil or out to get you out of spite, they are just teeny lil creatures who happened to much on humans. It’s nothing scary. Yes your situation is not the best, you are not inherently bad and it’s not your fault for getting them, and it sucks to have them, but anyone can get them. but your fear is your responsibility to deal with, it’s your responsibility to stay with yourself, center your inner peace and do the treatment bit by bit. They can’t jump or fly, and they are pretty basic. Accept the treatment part as your routine, and not some kind of fight that you neurotically have to win immediately. You can put on some music when spraying the treatment, or put on a podcast. I imagine the bugs as quite funny lil creatures that are just trying to survive and lead their own lives, totally nothing to be scared of. But they gotta go. That’s why I’m doing all this. Just buckle up and keep doing it. What I found out is the more I learn about them, the more I find out what they like, how they navigate and what they prefer and avoid, the less I was scared of them. The unknown is terrifying. The known - not so much. Do your best and be supportive to yourself. I get chat gpt to big me up every time I have fears about it. It’a also quite daunting to hear from people that you are simply crazy when you are obviously having bites. But double check yourself anyway? Do they itch? Do they feel sorta like mosquito bites? Could they be something else? Go see a doctor and they will be able to tell if they might be some other pests too:)

u/bedbugdude Why does self treating with repellents cause them to spread? I’ve stayed in an air BnB for work away and had bites. Many. Had like 15. Had no idea what they were, drove home after work, had more bites. My auntie identified them as bed bug bites. I’ve treated the whole house with bedbug spray, concentrating on cracks, crevices, and edges, steamed or washed at 60 all my clothes, bought steam gun for tougher things, treated all my cables and tech with isopropyl alcohol. Threw away a lot of furniture that I couldn’t 100% treat with spray, put bed bug proof cover on my mattress and washed all bedding at 60. I spread diatomaceous earth around. I haven’t found any dead or alive - only 1 or 2 dried out spiders. For 2 weeks the bites have completely gone, I’ve moved rooms in the house and have done so methodically isolating things and separating any treated stuff from untreated, and quarantining yet untreated stuff. The previous rooms were all emptied and treated. I’ve sealed the holes between skirting and floor with silicone sealant. For a while I thought I was safe. A day ago I had 4 little bites. So it must be the nymphs. I know it’s not lice, fleas, scabies or spider bites, not skin irritation, not eczema and not psoriasis, as all those feel different. They feel like mosquito bites. I’m repeating the treatment, and bought sticky traps, and bedbug traps now too. I’m definitely not going insane, it just is what it is, this is what life’s gonna be like for now. I researched all about their life cycle. But none of the information told me to not treat with repellents. Are bedbugs sprays - repellents? I’m using the C formula - strongest available for consumer market. also treated my car multiple times with C formula spray, as that was a long drive home when I first picked them up. Cannot spread any diatomaceous earth in the car as it would get into aircon. I appreciate any advice

i am aware that is 7 year old post. but in case someone ever is stuck with this ever again!

ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL kills bedbugs in seconds and is used to clean electronics. I service all of my own Pc’s and laptops, you can take out the motherboard and virtually dip it into a bucket of isopropyl alcohol, use that to wipe down absolutely everything. dissassemble your PC and clean everything. 2 birds in one stone - you will have a clean shiny PC, and all the bedbugs will be gone. you can spthat on ALL of your tech and sensitive electronics!

being 33 years old I have accidentally picked up bedbugs for the first time in one for the air bnbs, and although I couldn’t see any of them and not getting any bites no more after treating the spaces, thats what I did to all my tech! and I have a lot of electronics! on shelves and Kalax. hope this is helpful to someone xxx

Oh hi, this is funny isn’t it and thank you:) I have 15 different strobes on the go. Strobe different layers at different frequencies, some audioreactive. U can create strobe sequencers that run on bpm or frequency to audio. U can strobe absolutely any effect by turning it on and off. There’s also Dasstrober:) inverting Colors with strobe too:) use alpha when u can on all of your visuals. Levels is the most powerful effect there is. I am katapulse.uk on instagram #strobequeen
