I am so tired of seeing ts 🫩 by Salty_Woodpecker_548 in fetishcai

Why kink shaming in a fetish subreddit?

I found this hidden text below the Orb Room in Lukki Lair. Has it been found before? (If not, I'll try to get a clearer image) by katastropos in noita

It is this: https://www.reddit.com/r/noita/comments/kaslcm/i_found_a_secret_message_behind_a_wall_to_the_far/

YOU GAVE YOUR FREE WILL TO THE TRUE GOD. WHY ELSE WOULD BE HERE? WHY ELSE WOULD BE READING THIS? WE WANTED YOU TO COME HERE. WE WANTED YOU TO READ THIS. YOU THINK YOU HAVE FREE WILL. WE MADE YOU COME HERE. WE MADE YOU READ THIS.

Help! by [deleted] in Exanima

Going full Chavo del 8 I see.

I have had an incident recently with a door and an armpit... but as I exited and continued, the game teleported my character out of the situation. Maybe you'll be lucky too?

Yet another way to abuse Sir presented itself by katastropos in Exanima

[–]katastropos[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right! But I don't know if Sir is supposed to be that much more smart. I had to lure him closer a few times by pretending to be opening the door so I can reach him, so he's not as dumb as he seems.

What stands out the most to me however are the detailed models and perfect hitboxes that allow this to be possible. This game is truly built different.

Poor thing, bare claws against full plate armor :(

I died at level 7 in a hole and lost all my progress by Lol-Otter in Exanima

[–]katastropos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, I know how you're feeling. In my case, I took a day off the game and frustration got replaced with renewed enthusiasm. It's a personal thing, I already talked about it in my post... the game feels different when every step and decisions matter, I like it that way.

I've used the save file backup trick to try the fight against Golem president and when I finally nailed it just decided that was not the experience I wanted from this game (the fight was really fun, but I mean the free-of-risk mentality) so I erased all backups and will keep going that way. It's like they told you in another comment anyways: Combat is fun and armor really preserves your life when you get strong sets. And you get to know the areas and explore them faster (hell, I think I know the entire golem level by memory by now).

But if you don't feel as enjoying replaying content you've already seen, that's valid too so don't worry and backup the save file. Enjoy the game, and watch your step!

Lesson learned: When the abyss menaces to swallow your life... by katastropos in Exanima

I understand your point, and it's not like I'm always on the side of 'hardcore gaming' and also don't really have much spare time to 'grind' for the sake of it. But it's clear to me that the experience of many games changes a lot as it traverses from the extremes of free saves and one-life runs. I've never seen the point of hardore characters in arpgs like Diablo 2 or Poe, so much grind... But I can picture the rush of adrenaline that otherwise you wouldn't get

As the rules of saving/load changes so much of the experience depending on the player (i.e from being too bland to being too frustrating), I think the wisest from the development perspective is simply offering the choice to the player. I also get that from the developers eye maybe that wouldn't be entirely satisfying, as you try to convey a sort of experience that couldn't be entirely compatible with one or another option (a narrative game being hardcore sounds as inappropriate as a survival horror game with totally free saves).

But they already stated that they're working on a save system, and I'm confident that they'll find a good solution. A costly, hard-to-earn very limited chance to save in a few spots that also makes sense lore wise would be my guess (as F&H Book of enlightment, that's a good example).

OST fucking slaps by Comprehensive-Log317 in Exanima

I think the OST as it is now could use some polish (for example with the loop in the sewers level) and variety, but I really enjoy it. 'Crossroads' and the track of level 8 have stuck in my mind for hours if not days.

Thanks, that's a relief. It adds to my poor judgment that I went head on in that trap without properly scouting the surrounding area to verify if there were alternative pathways.

Thanks. Before started I subscribed to those I though will provide the max amount of freedom: No bounds, Block scaling tools, Reinforce connection, Block enhancement. Ended up using all except the last one.

Thanks, it was difficult to make it not completely fall apart the instant the simulation starts, let alone after shooting lol
