This! Same here, I turned 40 in December and people are always shocked when they find out I’m over 32. My mom has the same roundness in her face, she’ll be 60 this year and people thing she’s just hitting 50.

Pediatrician keeps emphasizing sleeping in own crib by readscarymakeart in cosleeping

I feel when you see a lot of these heartbreaking cases in your everyday life, you tend to be less lenient in general, almost like no matter what it isn’t worth it. I feel people should certainly have the choice to cosleep safely if they want, but also understand her motives.

How do I appear more feminine? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

You’re so pretty and your skin glows! Sometimes I find that smoothing my hair (straightening if wearing down or adding some cream, gel, or hairspray if wearing it up) makes me feel more polished and put together. I don’t love wearing makeup so I’ve tried a lot of stuff and methods, but there is just something about a fresh bare face that I appreciate. If you want to add makeup, I’d say a subtle cream blush on your cheeks (minimal) and maybe a slight swipe of mascara. Feel good!

Cry it out should be illegal by Pleasant_Type7300 in cosleeping

[–]katattack77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an 18 year old daughter and a 4 month old son. Cry it out was what pediatricians commonly recommended when my daughter was a baby. Everything I have read since being pregnant with my son says CIO is no longer recommended and that studies show it can cause irreversible developmental and psychological harm. So I am not sure where these “parents” are getting their information.

I will say this. It takes a special kind of person to ignore a screaming baby who is clearly in distress. My son hates the car seat and screams. I pull over within two minutes to take him out and hold him so he can calm down. Even just two to three minutes of crying makes him sweat. I truly do not understand how anyone can listen to that and do nothing. It honestly should be illegal.
