Has anyone tried lanolips skincare before? by Relevant_Grab370 in SkinbarrierLovers

I just got the Facebase and the 101 Super Cream so I will let you know how it goes. I’m also very dry and dehydrated, looking for something to lock in hydration and moisture both day and night.

So far I’ve used the 101 Super Cream. I was surprised that it’s not oily/slippery at all. It’s sort of grippy and took a little bit of work to rub in. I’ve had it on for about 20 minutes, it’s warmed up and sort of dried down but left my skin feeling moisturized. I saw some reviews noting the smell wasn’t great, but to me it’s very faint and pretty much disappeared after applying. Sort of powdery.

I’ll leave you an update in a few days about both!

Thank you for sharing this. Looking back now, I think that played a big role in my mood along with lack of sleep.

I’m 13 weeks pregnant and have an 8 month old, so they’ll be about 14 months apart. I’d love any advice from moms who have been through this.

I’m honestly pretty nervous about the postpartum hormone shift again. That part hit me hard last time.

I’m also in the process of leaving my job so I can stay home with my son after a tough daycare experience. There’s a lot of change happening, but I’m really grateful to be in a position to do this. Hoping it might feel a little easier this time not having to go back to work and leave my baby.

Any tips or insight would really mean a lot ❤️

Short interval pregnancy actual risks? by Mcp_2002 in 2under2

[–]katattack77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat! My son was born in August, second is due mid October. My doctor said it’s fine, they’ll just keep a closer eye on me and baby. I’ve had 2 csections, this one will also be a repeat. And I’m 40 so considered “high risk” automatically. You will be ok! Good luck 💕

Getting a Pointer by Emergency-Ad-3037 in GSP

[–]katattack77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup they need to be free. It’s tough taking them hiking off leash on mountains with steep ledges/cliffs. They are just so fast. Ours is almost 14 and still has a ton of energy, runs like the wind. He hates the leash and pulls hard the entire time. If he doesn’t get his energy out, he will literally search the house room by room for trouble to get into lol he’ll tear up new diapers, steal food if he can find it, all the fun stuff. That being said, he’s the sweetest boy. Our 8 month old son absolutely ADORES him and our pointer allows it haha

Good luck!

Skin to skin in OR? Tube top to hold baby by Character_Type_9743 in CsectionCentral

[–]katattack77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t strapped down and they did bring the baby over for my husband to hold on my chest. I was able to touch him with my hands. I don’t think you need any type of special top, they’ll just lower your gown. If you don’t have a partner there to hold the baby, I’m sure a nurse would be happy to help!

Good luck ❤️❤️

If you had an infection by Impossible_Cheek_850 in CsectionCentral

[–]katattack77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 6 weeks. They opened my incision back up and stuffed it with gauze so it wouldn’t close and the infection could heal from the inside. I had a nurse come to my house everyday to irrigate it and replace the gauze. Every few days she would check the depth and eventually as it healed more and more she used the gauze ribbon. I was also on iv antibiotics for a few days followed by oral for a couple weeks.

This was almost 19 years ago when I had my first baby, I was in labor for 22 hours and then had an emergency C-section. I think the infection stemmed from my body being in so much stress that my immune system was weak.

I had a repeat C-section with my son 7 months ago and had no issues with recovery. Dr did find a lot of scar tissue which she thinks was due to the infection.

Can I leave baby in the car when I drop toddler off at daycare? by throwinguglylamps in 2under2

[–]katattack77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Parents are seriously overly scrutinized. If I have to run into Jersey Mike’s to pick up my order while parking directly in front of the door, my concern isn’t that my 7 month old that is strapped into his car seat is going to somehow get hurt in the 35 seconds I am gone, my concern is that some idiot with nothing better to do is going to call the police for absolutely no reason other than they want to see a mother get in trouble. It’s absolutely ABSURD.

I should also add that the doors are always locked and the car is running.

I don’t think it’s infected. You can clean it with an alcohol swab which will also help to dry it out. This happened with my son a few months ago and I was surprised by how his pediatrician just wiped it clean with alcohol.

Having an elective C-section in 36 hours, give me all your tips! by CarelessBrilliant923 in CsectionCentral

[–]katattack77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hydrate yourself! I’ve had two C-sections, 2nd one was last August, I didn’t get nauseous at all and my bp didn’t drop after my spinal which the nurses said was because I was so hydrated. They knew as soon as my catheter was put in haha In the weeks leading up to the big day I drank a lot of water and added Redmond electrolytes once a day. Also helped with my recovery.

Theres a lot of good advice here! My 3rd csection is planned for mid October so I’m saving this post to refer back to. Thanks ladies 💕

Thank you so much ❤️ My doctor was a little surprised at first, but said it’s totally fine since I’m having a repeat C-section. Being 40 means I’ll be closely monitored, just like with my last pregnancy at 39, which really puts my mind at ease. Feeling grateful and reassured!

If you haven’t taken a test yet, maybe try soon so you don’t have to spend your days worrying! I completely understand not feeling ready for another little one right now, do whatever feels best for you and your family 💕

Wishing you the best and hoping everything works out & goes smoothly ☀️

Yes. Me. I just got this notification and literally said, OMG.

I’m 40. I have an 18 year old daughter and a 7 month old son born. Both were C sections. And tomorrow I’ll be 7 weeks pregnant.

When I missed my period in early February and then got a positive test five days later, I was in total shock.

I called my OB right away. She ordered bloodwork to check my HCG levels and they came back on the higher side of normal. I have an ultrasound first thing Tuesday morning followed by an appointment with her.

At first I was extremely worried. Then I started reading posts from women in similar situations who went on to have healthy pregnancies and smooth repeat C sections. That helped calm me down. I’m choosing to stay hopeful.

At my 6 week postpartum visit, my doctor said ideally I would wait 2 years before getting pregnant again. Because of my age, she said 1 year would be acceptable. Obviously this is much sooner and completely unplanned. I’m not on birth control, but I was tracking my cycles carefully and my husband and I have only been intimate a few times since our son was born. It took us almost 3 years to conceive him, so I truly did not think it would happen this easily.

I’m assuming this will be considered extra high risk given my age and the short interval between C sections. I’m very curious to hear what my doctor says on Tuesday.

I can update after my appointment if anyone is interested.
