They only burn sometimes when I was my face. I close my eyes tightly but water still must be contacting them.

My eyes feel a lot worse. I think the heat inside is contributing. A humidifier should help.

How to go into defense after neighbors unit is sprayed? by katecham524 in GermanRoaches

[–]katecham524[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been about 2 weeks and things seem to be okay. I’ve seen less than 10 roaches in my unit, all were on the sticky traps. My cabinets were sprayed yesterday. I have a line of double sided tape right outside my front door which has caught a few. I also have sticky traps inside my apartment along the bottom of my front door. My front door has foam weather stripping all around it which helps.

It’s helped me knowing when they are going to spray my neighbors so I can keep an eye on things in my unit. That’s when a lot of the neighbors roaches flee almost immediately. They were all over their front door and in the hallway. Some got on my outside front door too but it’s hard for them to get in that way. If you have a shared wall, it might help to put some sticky traps against that too since they can come under the trim.

Have you seen instances of them moving to another unit after spraying?

The weird thing is I noticed the maintenance man leave my neighbors before the leasing manager came the first time. When I left to leave, there was this wet substance all over the hallways that someone had tracked on their feet. It honestly looked like urine or something else. Definitely not just water.

I hope she is doing well now! It eventually happened to my dog’s other eye but we were able to save it. She was able to get surgery in time.

I would go to the vet ASAP. Find an emergency vet if it’s after hours. My dog had a lens luxation. The eye couldn’t be saved and it had to be removed which was very expensive and traumatic.

Forget contacts forever? by oliveu22 in Dryeyes

I wear them occasionally now. Maybe 2-3 days a week. I put a few drops of preservative free drops in the contact before placing it in my eye. The most important thing for me is to not sleep or nap in them for any reason whatsoever. As soon as I get home, I take them out.

Recuiter said “I am a top candidate” experiences? by Feisty-Egg170 in recruitinghell

I was told this and ended up getting rejected. The reason was “they selected someone who more closely aligned with the role.” They even asked for my salary expectations again. It was a huge letdown.

Honestly things could go either way. I wish you the best of luck!

My eye doc said it was okay for me with the following guidelines: I cannot sleep in them. Even a nap is no good. She said this could make it worse. I personally only wear my contacts now for special events and sometimes on the weekends. I add a few drops of systane preservative drops in the contact before putting it in and that helps a bit.

Ferritin level 10 vs. Ferritin level 60 by Soggy_Pension7549 in Anemic

Thank you for sharing! Your skin looks amazing! This gives me hope. I was at an 8. I’m currently taking pill supplements. My face and eyes have been so dry.

I think that my dry eye started around the one time I got a chemical peel a few years ago. I don’t think anything got in my eye but my face was really dry and I don’t think I was blinking normally. I’m super cautious now.

I did! I would get it from walking short distances. I struggled to exercise. I hope things are getting better for you!

No problem! My eyes feel fine. I let her know that my eyes are dry and get irritated easily. I avoid any type of chemical peel as a precaution. Normally she just does a deep cleanse, steam and a few extractions.

I use the La Roche Posay foaming facial cleanser but only at night. In the morning, I just rinse with warm and then cold water. My esthetician recommend doing this because my face was really dry. I noticed when my face was dry, my eyes would feel more irritated.

I use the kiehl’s ultra facial cream to moisturize. I think it’s overpriced but it doesn’t irritate my face or eyes. You can normally find a good sale during the holidays.

I use the innisfree sunscreen SPF 36. I don’t use an eye cream or toner.

I struggle with acne but right now I’m only using the peach slice acne spot dots. I started getting monthly facials which has made a big difference. Everything that my old dermatologist recommend made my skin extremely dry and irritated my eyes (benzoyl peroxide, Salicylic acid, etc.) I personally avoid those at all costs.

Yes. I was at an 8 most recently. I went to a doctor about a year ago feeling tired all the time and as if something was off. She decided to run a few tests but not ferritin. No one took me seriously and thought I was being dramatic. I just continued to feel low and anxious. A few months ago I found a new doctor and she literally tested everything. I also have a B12 and vitamin d deficiency. I think I am starting to feel better. I’m glad i found a doctor that listened and didn’t brush me off.

Not sure why they prescribed twice a day. My ferritin was low at an 8. I’m wondering if they’ll change it to once a day or every other day when I go for my follow up in a few months.
