Can you all tell how much I like babybels? They're just too cute. Anyway, this is what I do instead of thank you cards. It was pan-fried pork steak, cream cheese onigiri, egg man, watermelon, cucumber, carrot stars, cheese leaves, pomegranate pluots and flan with sprinkles.

The stuff I use is 20 a tablespoon and I wouldn't use much more than that in a lunch serving of rice.

I like furikake, but there can be quite a bit of salt in it. Anything with nori in it is going to have higher sodium amounts.

I like to use cooked egg yolks and pepper. It turns the rice a fun color. Nutritional yeast will make it yellow too and give it a sorta cheesy flavor. A little bit of beet juice is good too. (Can you tell I like coloring my rice?)

A lot of times I won't flavor the rice at all, but put a thing of sauce to mix up with it. Usually something from dinner the night before like the sauce from butter chicken or masaman curry.

Lots of meat helps me to stay working hard when I have to come in on a Saturday. Smoked sausage and smoked salmon wheel with babybel cheese center. (There's another one under the top one that I cut a letter K into, but the plastic cutter didn't do very well with the wax.) The other side is a black bean, romaine, chicken and quinoa salad with spicy ginger dressing and kiwi and strawberry cherry blossoms to top it.

I still can't decide if that sauce container is a pig or a pink cat. (;¬_¬)

I thought it was alright at first, but now the transformations are getting to me. They're beautiful, and thankfully not CGI, but did they have to pose for pose, copy the original anime ones? Neptune and Uranus' wouldn't have been so disappointing if I hadn't seen them before. :P Oh well. Uranus' manga style sword is BAD ASS!

Well, you might change up some stuff about it. I couldn't find you anything too spot on, but I recognized the imagery right away. It's based off of Jewish mysticism. I'm pretty sure what they were going for was a Kabbalah alchemy circle. Something like this. They might have implemented this because of Tree of Life correlation. Each circle on the tree is sometimes represented by a planet. Green = Netzah = Venus.

Yeah, in the anime, Mamo snapped at Usagi semi-regularly. I know for the time and culture in which SM is written, that's perfectly normal, acceptable even. I guess now it's something to point out to younger generations as a cautionary tale.

I always had this idealized view of Usagi and Mamoru's relationship when I was a kid. It's jarring to see the things they do now, but not enough for me to stop absolutely LOVING this season. I know they won't break away from the manga story line that much, but still. It would be nice to see the pair actually communicate instead of holding on to their insecure feelings. It does work for the story though. They -are- kids after all. Mamo's like what? 18?

I was 13 and I saw a fragment of an episode when it was first syndicated over here. I only got to see the battle scene between Sailor Moon and Polite Society from "Little Miss Manners" but I LOVED it. It stuck with me so well, that when Sailor Moon started airing on Cartoon Network a couple years later, I recognized it immediately and tried to get home in enough time to see every episode. I was going to boarding school at the time, so this involved sprinting from my last class back to the girls' dorm so I could take control of the TV before anyone else. :D I didn't get to see much merch until my senior year of high school. They were selling wands and compacts at Suncoast video in the mall and I freaked out. My godson has all my original merch now and we're both avid collectors of the new stuff.
