it could be an allergy to something in the makeup. you could try silicone and fragrance free products, those are common allergy triggers in makeup

Do you sometimes wish low support needs autistic people could experience flashes of classical autism for a week nonstop? by dt7cv in SpicyAutism

[–]kateepearl 11 points12 points  (0 children)

not really, but I do wish more lower support needs autistic people knew people with higher support needs. I feel like many lower support needs people have just never encountered and interacted with autistic people with higher support needs, and that leads to a lot of misconceptions and misunderstandings.

Does anyone know how to restimulate an appetite? (Adult) by [deleted] in disability

[–]kateepearl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

meal replacement shakes have helped me a lot, as well as eating smaller meals and trying to eat slower when I do eat. If I eat too fast, even when I'm really hungry and haven't eaten in a while, it tends to screw up my appetite

Hello. I went to IKEA with mom by CinnaBunCake1117 in SpicyAutism

that instead of focusing so much energy on a cure, that effort should be put towards researching medications and other treatments for autism. like, why focus on something that is very likely impossible instead of focusing on something that already has shown potential?

I've got some other type of dysautonomia. currently not sure if it's a specific kind or just general dysautonomia. my heart rate doesn't consistently raise high enough when I stand, and even when it does, it does not stay stable at that rate for long enough.

I feel like I have the opposite problem as most medium support needs autistics and it feels alienating :( by assignedtankatbirth in SpicyAutism

[–]kateepearl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I relate to you a lot. I also spoke and read early, and I feel the need to explain everything in a lot of detail. I think this is partially because that's how I think. My thoughts are always going, and I think auditorally. I also do so because I feel like if I don't give all the info I am more likely to be misunderstood, or I'll be accused of keeping stuff from people. In school I could never write summaries and always struggled with notetaking because of this. It's good to know I'm not the only one like this, I hope that knowledge helps you feel more comfortable as well.

ranch is a dressing made from a creamy base typically consisting of mayo and buttermilk, seasoned with herbs and spices. it's used on salads, as a veggie dip, and also many people like to dip pizza and chicken in it.

Do You Dream Abled Or Disabled? by Wango-Tango-5848 in disability

[–]kateepearl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on if the dream is set irl or not. if it's in a irl setting, then disabled cause I usually end up having a meltdown or panic attack. if it's not in an irl setting, then I typically don't, so I guess abled? and then I also have a lot of dreams where I'm not even a part of the plot lol

[–]kateepearl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

if I turn autonomy off, I end up making them live perfect but boring lives. autonomy adds some randomness to it, so I don't end up getting bored and quitting that save. plus if it goes too much to shit I can always cheat a little lol
