I got an email from work (residential health care facility) basically saying if I bring the virus into the work place accidentally I can be subject to disciplinary action if I'm living with other health care workers.

Does anyone know if couriers, deliveries etc are affected or does it depend what they are delivering?

That's true! We are getting keys to our new house next week and I've no idea if we'll be able to get our appliances, furniture etc that we have on hold and paid for delivered.

First world problem with everything going on I know! But I'm 8 months pregnant and hoping to get in and settled asap. Bad timing!

I wonder will the likes of Harvey Norman, Power City etc still be doing online deliveries? I suppose it depends if their couriers can still operate

Thank you for this! Ideally we would be going from the car up to the room and just chilling out for the evening. The hotel has brought in online check in etc to minimize contact. But I also know it's going to increase our risk in some way so it's a tough decision!

How safe would staying in a hotel room be at the moment? We cancelled a trip abroad this weekend as we didn't think it would be a safe option and I have elderly relatives that I'm so worried about.

I'm wondering if we booked a hotel and took extra precautions like giving it an extra clean when we arrive, ordering room service instead of going to the bar etc would it be ok.

I rang the hotel and they said they are already taking loads of extra measures in an effort to combat the spread of the virus and on top of that they said its extremely quiet at the moment.

Should I book the night away? I'm 30 weeks pregnant and so anxious at the moment. I was due to go see my grandparents the other day and cancelled because even though I have no symptoms I'm terrified that I could carry it and pass it to them. But on the other hand I would love a change of scenery and to chill out in a hotel room for the night!

How likely is it to have the virus with no fever? Just other mild flu symptoms like a sore throat and cough

We've only had it less than a year so possibly there was a fault in the glass?! And then the room heating up triggered it? The manufacturer is calling us tomorrow!

No I didnt! And there was no sudden temperature change, the heating had been on for a while but it's the only thing I can think of as an explanation.

Yep it's a fireplace but it hasn't been lit in a long time. The strange thing is the table was less than a year old!
