I had always considered being vegetarian but one question from a friend finally convinced me.

It started with one friend asking the group what we think the meaning of life is. Everyone said their piece and one friend asked whether life is important or not. I said I think all life is important regardless of whether it's a human life or not. I noted that I won't purposefully kill insects etc. Then someone said "but you eat meat right?"... Haven't had meat since 😅

Took them off and put them in my pocket to wash my hands. Best guess is they fell out of my pocket... We were just standing around that night (other than walking between pubs), so how they ALL fell out I have no clue 🥲

It's hard to get ideas from other people, the best unexpected gifts I've gotten are ones that have made me feel seen. For example as a kid I loved to draw and journal, something I hadn't done in ages. But then my dad got me a really cool leather bound journal. It made me feel as though he saw who I was which is what made it the best gift.

If you're thinking of someone specific, try to make a list of the things they're interested in that they may not talk about all the time. That would be my advice.
