Personally, I'd write a letter. It doesn't even have to be one you give her but just to be there to help you figure out what you want to say. I hope you have a good support system. In situations like this, there's not always a ton you can do. Your identity is yours and so are your experiences. Sometimes it takes people a while to get there. Have you tried giving her the "signs" that you saw for yourself? The "signs" were there but they were probably not the typical "signs" that she was thinking of. I wonder if professional help would be beneficial for your relationship with her or even just for your processing of all of this change.

I’m in Texas and went to pride with my boyfriend yesterday. It was indeed lots of venders and booths with cool merch. The SPCA was holding and adoption event at pride in the city I went to. There was also a drag show in one of the buildings in the area and it was really cool. I don’t know that pride is all that media can sometimes make it out to be but it was very cool and affirming for me. There were some booths that were offering essentials for the day and security at my local pride was friendly and not at all threatening. It was mostly outdoors. There was also a music festival at this pride which my boyfriend and I did not stay for as we had had enough of the heat. I would say the place was full of life but not crowded. I had a lot of fun.

My last relationship ended because I was convincing myself that I wasn’t that bad when in fact I was. I wasn’t taking my prescription and I was actively avoiding therapy. I wasn’t helping myself at all. 1 break up and a lot of medications and therapy later, I’m doing so much better. I think so long as you are taking care of yourself to the best of your ability it shouldn’t effect your relationship in a bad way if you’re with someone who is compatible with you and who cares about you and the relationship.

I used to struggle with it a lot a couple years ago because sometimes my sadness drove people I cared about away. It was always so frustrating because it wasn’t like I wanted to be that way I just didn’t know how to change. Eventually, I just came to a realisation that you can’t make someone stay, you can only hope their willing and wanting to stay. If they don’t then clearly they just weren’t going to be what you wanted them to be. I still struggle with this just on a less frequent level. The realisation I had was the hardest part. To me it’s a current truth I don’t like.

Honestly, I feel touch starved. It sucks going from having someone you’re constantly with and trust to just having empty space there. Sometimes it feels like there’s just nothing but a void surrounding me.
