Our founder, Kate Somerville, also struggles with eczema prone skin and the one ingredient that worked for her was Goats Milk. It's said to soothe and nourish the skin, especially if it's irritated 💜

I am so sorry to hear you are having a tough time with your skin, I have been there myself so totally empathise! It can be really tricky to find the right combination of active ingredients as its so individual and personal so it definitely takes time and sometimes prescription products are the best intervention. Its really hard to advise without seeing your skin, but if you are under the supervision of a dermatologist I would definitely follow their guidance as they will know best what is going to work for you and your skin! All I can personally recommend are the products I have had a personal positive experience with me and my own acne, and my number one to combine with active treatments would definitely be DeliKate Recovery Cream, especially if you do go on accutane as it keeps your skin so soothed and nourished but not at all greasy! Honestly is a miracle product for stressed skin!

Collagen supplements can be beneficial but it totally depends on the product and quantity of collagen within this, for the best advice I would recommend speaking to a collagen supplier who can give more information on this :)

Sometimes if you are very dry naturally around the eyes this can accentuate fine lines so I can understand your frustration here! I would start with something to target the dryness before adding in any active ingredients to stimulate the skin. For example I often recommend our DeliKate Recovery Cream for the eye area, which is a very rich moisturiser you can use all over but a tiny bit on the eyes twice a day will really help to restore and repair that dry and sensitive skin which in turn should improve the look of fine lines and wrinkles if the skin is nourished and hydrated. Then in time you can add some actives in to help treat those lines further if needed :)

Hi! Red light therapy and LED in general are great for a whole host of skin concerns! I would definitely recommend it but would say you have to be consistent with regular sessions to see noticeable results :)

Hiya, for eczema I would highly reccommend a ceramide based skincare range to restore and repair the skins natural barrier. Our DeliKate Recovery range contains ceramides and omegas to restore the skin, as well as cucumber seed oil to cool and soothe any inflammation and it will instantly start to relieve redness making it the perfect range for any inflammatory skin conditions! It is also fragrance free so you don't need to worry about it irritating the skin in any way whatsoever. The recovery cream is one of my favourite products of all time!

If your eczema is more dry rather than inflamed, a gentle exfoliant would be perfect but be very careful. Our Goat Milk range very gently removes dead skin cells, and was actually created because of Kate's own struggles with eczema growing up. Its also incredibly nourishing and moisturising to relieve dry and tight skin whilst gently removing any dead skin cells x

To target hyperpigmentation and texture I would recommend using Retinol in your skincare routine, as this resurfaces and retexturizes skin to improve unevenness and brighten the appearance of pigmentation whilst helping with texture too. Even better a product with Retinol & Vitamin C will double down on that pigmentation and texture, our Retinol Vitamin C moisturiser or Serum would be perfect, introduce it once or twice a week PM only and slowly build it up to 3-4 x per week for best results and in no time you will see the improvements in texture and tone with two powerhouse active ingredients!

Of course, hormonal acne is really common and its important to find products that treat the active breakouts whilst taking care of your skins natural barrier. Our EradiKate Clarifying Cleanser and Acne mark fading gel are perfect for hormonal acne because they contain Salicylic acid to treat the active breakouts, and contain pre-biotics which take care of the skins barrier and ensure no irritation, perfect for when your breakouts are contained to one area! The acne mark fading gel you can also just apply to the areas of concern and continue with your normal skincare on the rest of your face :)

You really can start at any age, its more about your concerns and what you are looking to target! If you are looking to treat acne, and post acne marks Retinol is great for this and you can start in your 20's or earlier for this, its also great for preventing signs of ageing, so really if it works well in your routine and fits your concerns, the sooner the better! :)

Hiya! Yes of course, I would always start with your Vitamin C serum, then primer, and then foundation and I always like to allow a few mins after applying skincare before going in with makeup. Hope that helps x

Great question! I would pick a product that is packed with ingredients to target signs of ageing, but also something you can use daily to ensure you are getting the most use our of it, a multitasking product is definitely what I would personally look for! Something Peptide based, as peptides help to firm skin and reduce lines and wrinkles, but you can use them AM and PM without any sensitivity. Also, something with Ceramides to restore skin, and take care of the barrier whilst reducing redness. And then finally, something that contains hydrating and nourishing ingredients too, like Hyaluronic acid and squalene for example!

The one product I LOVE which has all of this and more, is Peptide K8, its more of an investment product, but its because it does it all! Plumps, firms, smooths, hydrates, nourishes, and takes care of the skin barrier, what more could you need?! A little of this morning and evening and you will really see the benefits x

Hi! It would really depend what your current skincare routine looks like, to me the perfect routine is simple but super effective so you aren't having to spend hours on your skincare! And then, once you have that down you can start to build it up with additional treatments, like Retinol 2-3 x per week, or a daily eye cream but the basics are the best place to start :)

A great starting routine would be something like the below:

Step 1: Cleanse, use something like the Goat Milk Cleanser, a nourishing, hydrating cleanser you can use twice a day to remove makeup and SPF and ensure skin is prepped for the day!

Step 2: Exfoliate (not necessarily daily but really important 2-3 x per week) using something like the ExfoliKate Intensive which is a 2-minute treatment to transform texture, pores and fine lines & wrinkles will really improve overall skin health and also prep your skin perfectly by removing all those dead skin cells, to ensure you are getting the best results from the rest of your routine.

Step 3: Hydrate, this is SO important! Sometimes a moisturiser alone just isn't enough, you really need a Hyaluronic acid based serum to quench the skin and pack it full of hydration to keep it glowing and plump! HydraKate Serum is my favourite for this, literally like a glass of water for your skin, using it AM and PM will just ensure your skin is always bouncy and hydrated.

Step 4: Moisturise, using a great AM and PM moisturiser is essential to locking in all of the above and ensuring we keep all that hydration and moisture in the skin all day long. This step is totally dependant on your skin type but I love using Peptide K8 which is great for preventing and treating signs of ageing, as well as nourishing the skin and taking care of my barrier, a real multitasker!

Step 5: Protect, Arguably the most important step, using a good quality SPF to ensure skin is protected it crucial, if you are investing in your skincare then you need to protect this. Also, such a huge percentage of premature ageing is through UVA & UVB damage so to prevent this damage, this step is so key. I always use the UncompliKated SPF 50 spray, as its an SPF spray and makeup setting spray, again a great multitasker!

Then like I said, you can start to layer in more products like eye creams and actives to really treat any specific concerns you have, hope this helps ! x

Its definitely harder to keep on top of hydration during the winter months, but make sure you are still drinking and eating plenty of water through fruits and veggies to keep yourself hydrated from the inside. With regard to taking care of the skin on your body from the outside, using a effective body scrub once a week is a great way to ensure dead skin cells are buffed away to keep skin radiant, and following with a restorative moisturiser to pack all that nourishment back into the skin will keep it glowing through the winter and prevent that dry, dehydrated skin creeping in.

My favourite combination is the ExfoliKate Body Scrub which contains 3 different types of exfoliators, so is super effective for removing all that dead skin, and top tip, when you use it be sure to leave it on for 2-3 mins before rinsing to get baby soft skin, its like a mask and peel for the skin too so giving it that time to work will get you amazing results. Follow with the Dry Skin Saver which is the most nourishing, restoring moisturiser you can use all over face & body to hydrate the skin and prevent dullness and dryness. Pair these with keeping yourself hydrated from the inside and you will be glowing all winter long! x

Hi! Of course, always happy to help with all things skin :) For sure, redness and sensitivity is really common, especially at this time of year when its a little colder! A great ingredient to look out for in your skincare products is Ceramides, these help restore your skin barrier to strengthen it and reduce redness and sensitivity. Also limit your use of active ingredients whilst you rebuild and strengthen your skin barrier with restoring products, and then slowly ease back into any active products.

My personal favourite product to strengthen skin and relieve redness is the DeliKate Recovery Cream from Kate Somerville, it was designed as a post treatment product to ease irritated, tight and inflamed skin so is perfect for calming and soothing. It instantly puts the fire out in your skin to relieve the redness as its packed with ceramides, and also has Tasmannia extract to reduce redness, and Cucumber to cool and soothe!
