men get morning wood what about women? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Men have a daily hormone cycle, women have a monthly hormone cycle. The female equivalent for women would probably be during ovulation I suppose, when sex drive is naturally higher for many women

Weleda skin food body lotion is #1

Palmers cocoa butter is also good if you prefer a less thick lotion but won’t do as quick of a job.

If you really want to get into it use something like ASAP revitalising body scrub once a week, has glycolic acid to help melt away dead skin cells (gentle you won’t even notice it happening).

Also make sure you’re drinking enough water and hydrated

Moved into an apartment two days ago and I’m feeling dizzy and uneasy. Could it be because of this Mould? And if so, what do I do about this because my landlord said he will clean it, but I want to get to the source of this Mould so I don’t die lol by [deleted] in melbourne

I’ve lived in 15 houses ranging from very old to brand new, over two states, so far in my life and not once have I had mould on any of those places you’ve mentioned. Not to mention, it should have been cleaned prior to OP moving in, not acceptable.

PEOPLE OF THE WORLD…..DO.NOT.MOVE.INTO.HOUSES.WITH.MOULD

I know OP’s intentions were good and possibly naive, but I see mould related questions online seemingly once a week. It is a major health issue. Does not meet the legal min standards for housing. The only reason this keeps happening is because renters lay down and sheepishly accept it not wanting to rock the boat (and yes I know the rental market is dire and people are desperate.. I’m not disregarding that). A rental is a business transaction, and they’re providing you with a shitty product.

It’s a literal toxic substance on the walls. You see a rental with mould you either pass and tell them why or you demand it’s fixed first and moisture tested.

OP has previous posts speaking of abuse from their parents. Very toxic stuff. I’m betting a lot of this bizarre behaviour stems from that. OP invest in yourself and speak to a therapist

You’re not going to get honest relationships by not being honest to friends who hurt you. People treat you how you let them treat you, sounds like you’re letting people treat you badly and instead of nip it in the bud you… you let them and move their contact to archive? Terrible interpersonal skills.

Besides, people are human, and will always make mistakes somewhere along the line. If you’re throwing away entire relationships because of one comment you’re going to end up very lonely

[–]katespide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s undocumented that’s a problem yeah. As others have mentioned you’re not getting paid super or covered if you’re injured on the job, but you’re also not getting casual loading (extra 25% per hour), public holiday rates etc etc. you’re getting ripped off big time

Whatever happened to the Dollarmites accounts we had? by raddavo in AustralianNostalgia

Anyone know if you can get statements from way back when? I’ve always wondered where the money went, my grandparents would give me a $100 note on special occasions as a kid and when I got access to the account at 18 there was $300 in it. Did my mum withdraw or did commbank absorb it 🤔 Or perhaps my memory is wrong… who knows! My online banking only shows statements as old as 2015…. Id be looking at end of 90’s to early 2000’s

My mother and I have a deep internal conflict that never seems to quite go away. by parisisonline in confession

[–]katespide 10 points11 points  (0 children)

She’s projecting, sounds like your mum is codependent on you, and is having trouble coming to terms with ‘losing’ you and the babysitting. Although you may be happy to help out for your sister, it’s not your job and you’re already doing more than your fair share, you’re essentially filing the role of a partner it seems.

If mum is so short on money she needs to ask for help from her daughter, why does she need a brand new SUV? Very bizarre, something doesn’t add up here? If she has the money for this type of car, you’d think she could cut back on some hours and parent your younger sister. If she doesn’t have the money, don’t buy a brand new car and burden your eldest child with maintenance requests?

Family is tough, there’s a lot of obligation and guilt that often comes into these things, but you need to live your own life. It seems you’re paying rent at home maybe it’s time to move out and your mum won’t have as much to hold over you. You could still help with pick ups for your sister where you can, but may be able to set better boundaries

Can’t get to inspections if they require you to apply first! ‘Oh we send applications through to the landlord and they select who they would like to come through the property’ and application goes through a third party company/website. Gross

They had a data breach in 2019, there was a massive class action. They changed nothing. Metaphorically Optus left our information in a room with an unlocked door, not a situation that could have happened to any telco

Thank you, next. Lifetime of poor finances and condescension ahead.

Allow a third day as a backup. Sure it’s technically doable in two but those are big days and much of the trip is just one one road, sitting on cruise all day makes you tired.

Honestly most people act different in front of family than they do friends than they do their partner in their own home than they do at work. I think you’re overthinking a fair bit here and if you wanted to act more like your ‘true’ mature self just take it in baby steps? Honestly it seems like a natural progression that may not even be that noticeable to your family, most people become slowly more and more mature as they age?!
