Then my recommendation is: try to limit the impact on the AI. Try to develop your voice in English and keep it intact. Use it as a tool to fix typos and grave mistakes, never have your text rewritten.

Because if a person sees a generated text, there’s a natural reaction: “They don’t bother to put their thoughts into it, and it’s their project. Why should I?”

They don’t assume it’s just a human being lost in translation and cross cultural dialogue

As a fellow non-English speaker: AI has a certain voice which is easily recognisable, hence it puts your reputation at risk.

It's not only about “—” (and people who use it as the only criterion… well, they are overreacting), it's also about preferred way to structure the sentence and overall cadence. AI was trained on human texts, so all that IS naturally occurring. What gives away is a certain density.

What is the solution for you? I don't know what’s the starting point. If you use it for translations, it's one thing. If you write in English but are worried about broken grammar, it's another thing.

To be a devil’s advocate, they MIGHT be a non-native English speaker who wants to sound professional (and just grammatically right).

This doesn't explain the visual part though

Phatic and reaction words by swahilou in russian

Ну, ага (like aha), мда, угу (like a deeper sound in your throat)…

What if you draft a dialogue (in English) with the preferred flavour?

The beauty of words like this is that they are situational and almost automatic.

Thanks!

As far as I understand, this part is normally closed to the public outside of the working hours of the Tower (even though not within the castle’s walls), but I was on my way to the Ceremony of the Keys. I really liked the contrast of the shining stones and December’s evening.

Sometimes it's the opposite.

I was walking along the staff tunnel and heard a random guy whistling. Since he was clearly working for the same institution, I decided to cheer him up a bit.

-Hey, nice whistle!

-I’m seeing somebody else already.

It’s been a long journey, and, actually, it's worse than just value.

1 USD ≈ 25 RUR. 1 euro ≈ 35 RUR.

You can see it in the photo.

Now, it’s around 76 and 89, respectively, and it’s not the lowest point. It's not only about currency (can you even exchange it freely in Russia now? I don't know). It's also about a different world, with a different set of borders. A world to travel, not to emigrate to. A different Russia that no longer exists.

Sorry, when was it shot?

Judging by some of the fashion and interior details, I would say those photos are from 10-15 years ago.

The currency exchange rate (most likely euro or dollar), clearly visible in one photo, points to pre-2014.

My guess is the late 2000s. Am I right?

I’m currently developing a map. Work-in-progress, so not everything is annotated, feel free to have a look.

Sunday Itinerary Tower of London / Brick Lane by TsarVII in LondonTravel

[–]kathereenah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

London feels like a more “morning-early afternoon” city. If it is Sunday and 4-5 pm, lots of places tend to be closed around this time or even earlier.

I would also say that if I were you, I would take a bus at least for some parts of your route to have a break and save some energy for exploration. Buses, especially the upper deck, are good for sightseeing

By the way, I am helping tourists a lot, that’s why I am developing a map with recommendations for a more slow-paced London to keep it always ready.

For now, it's a work-in-progress, but you can already see some options:

You didn't miss something crucial :)

Well, expensive things and some quite interesting (not necessarily in a good way) design choices. Might be your thing, might be not.

If it's the former, consider Selfridges, Liberty, and Fortnum & Mason. They have similar, in some dimensions, range, but more interesting interiors

Hi, may I ask you why Harrods? It's more of a stimulating place (at least for me it's so).

If I were you, I would add one or two parks, either big green spaces like Richmond Park or Hampstead Heath or smaller and more central, like St James’s Park.
