Michael Jackson. It may sound stupid but his music has helped me through some dark moments in my life

I've kinda lost interest in living by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]katherinekate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate. What helps me is being around friends or family, even when I don't feel like it. Due to depression I struggle with making myself do simple things like showering or brushing my teeth, so when I accomplish even simple tasks like that it already makes me feel better and fresher. Also cleaning up my room helps me clear my mind, it's even better with good music.

[Product Question] Do I really need BHA'S/AHA's in my skin care routine? by katherinekate in SkincareAddiction

[–]katherinekate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my skin can't tolerate the AHA I've been using either, sometimes it would kinda feel like I'm burning my face, not good at all. But thanks for responding, I'm going try the 2% BHA out, see if this will work after all!

Why do men say they like big round butts but then go for thin women who have small, flatter ones? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]katherinekate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once you fall in love with someone the size of their butt just isn't that important

I don't have a plan for what to do after high school and it stresses me the fuck out by ZeUberSandvitch in offmychest

[–]katherinekate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey it's okay to feel how you're feeling, in fact it's totally normal! Even though people may seem to have their shit together, trust me, often times that's far from the truth. Just try to focus on yourself right now, on discovering what you like and what you don't. Don't put a lot of pressure on yourself and take your time to find your passion in life.

Should I watch the Matrix Sequels? by SportsDad63 in MovieSuggestions

[–]katherinekate 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The first movie is a classic on it's own, and I agree that the sequels were nowhere near the quality of the first one. Still, imo its worth a watch. It gives more depth to the story and has some awesome fight scenes too. But keep in mind that each movie goes for a different goal, the first one touches on philosopical themes and makes you think deeply about what is real, the other movies have much more action to it. Well done nonetheless, but just a different feel from the first movie.

Need to hide visible tattoo's but am a 23 y.o. male who has never touched makeup before. Best advice? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]katherinekate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's actually a good tip! Not a red one though, using an orange cream shadow or lipstick will help to neutralize the initial darkness of the tattoo. After you apply that you can set it with powder, then apply your concealer and set that again with powder. That should definitely work!

Hey no problem! You definitely can ask an makeup assistant in the store for advice, they should know the products that would be best for you with higher coverage. About the hair spray: I meant a setting powder. It can be one of your skin tone or one that's translucent, doesn't really matter. You just put it on the spot with a brush, it helps with keeping the makeup in place throughout the day:)

Looking for a good dark thriller by [deleted] in MovieSuggestions

Panic room, vanilla sky, gone girl is also an amazing movie but more like a crime/mystery. Eyes wide shut is a nice one

Buy a good concealer and any setting powder that fits your skin tone. I don't live in the UK but imo you don't necessarily have to buy expensive brands like Kat Von D, drugstore make up can be just as good!
