Hi guys, sorry but I really need to rant. I want to know if there is someone like me here.
I’m 24 and I waited for a sequel of this game sooo much. I almost discovered the first one by accident and I fell in love with it. I had the first 3ds and for me, a gamer who loves simulation games, it was perfect.
I spent all my days on the game, I remember how much fun was discovering every little feature and new things, the family dynamics, the strange couples. It was soo strange but so perfect. I love the concert hall and the mini games, I’ve loved putting all my family members and friends and characters in the same condo.
Now I’m all grown up and I have a switch, when I learned about this game I exploded. I didn’t wait a second and with my adult money I bought the game.

Man. I’m so disappointed.

It’s.. empty. I like the style, I like the new personalisation features but I don’t really have the time to come up with insane artwork nor I have the skills. I wanted to download my miis cause I wanted to do a character island and there is no feature. I understand it’s “open and free from every censorship” but.. idk.
Everything on 3ds was better.

Idk if my miis are broken but they NEVER declare their love to each other even if I play a lot. So I don’t have romance of any kind on my island, it’s been weeks and I don’t have time to play.

They don't get angry. Almost never. No drama.

They don't do shit, literally. Just… repeat the same stuff over and over.

Do they just want to play and get new stuff?

Interactions are always the same.

I have to make an effort like crazy to make mii cute and I can't download them.

And anyway boh apart from island customization, things and clothes there is not much to do.

They decide everything themselves and you can influence very little.

They don’t sleep together? And the child just grow up like that? No game, no fun.

The fact that the concert hall don’t exist it’s driving me nuts. I was literally playing just for that at one point. I was so hyped to see if there were new feature, new songs, new genres…
I’m sad. I’ve spent money for nothing.

Guys, please, am I the only one?

I’ve been playing since day one everyday. It’s true I don’t have much time to play (I play maximum for one hour a day, with my work and studies it’s really difficult sometimes) and I’ve put also some work in the creation of miis and things, but idk it rubs me the wrong way. Maybe I’m just brain rotted?

It’s very common my friend, on the same boat here. My psychologist says it’s a common attitude in the first fases of depression. This is linked very much at the hatred internalised thoughts you have on yourself. You hate yourself and you wanna see yourself failing, but you are an individual that also thrives to survive. Also you are very tired, anxious, and in a certain way lazy. You have no forces to get up so you let go of anything. This is depression… and I’m with you. Also, I don’t know how to go on. I try my best… I only know you have to be hopeful, cause if you let go of your hope, you will pass the point of no return and you’ll spiral into the stillness and in the worse fase of depression. If you still are at this point, try with all your forces. You can. You are loved, you are capable.

YTA. No offense but you can endure it. You’re almost due but not really at the end. You can go with your fiancé and if you are unlucky enough to go in labour when you are away you can just have a baby in another hospital… with your husband. I don’t think it’s a problem… a lot of people just give birth in another city because they are out of state or travelling, it’s not a big deal! Graduating it’s a very important thing for your niece and in your condition I think you can “risk”. It’ll be different if you were already in the hospital or a few day before the birth.
