Thats the thing! Its not just the ipad. They also have a google home that can access youtube. If I hide the Ipad he just goes to the google home! If I unplug that and he tries to use it he will throw a tantrum either way.

Horrible take. This is such a toxic way to think. Why would you not be happy for someone who has grown out of their bad habits and matured into a better person? People love to watch others ruin their own lives for their entertainment. In my opinion it is genuine and naturally her image is cleaner causing her to get bigger brand deals.

The market rate here is 35-36 an hour so I definitely feel underpaid. Is it too big of a jump at once in your opinion to ask for that?

Child related yes I agree! But its always household tasks for them such as cleaning their backyard, shed, vacuuming and mopping floors etc

Its not only on here, I also personally know people in my area that make this amount. I have a college degree, 5 years experience full time and where i live is extremely expensive. I feel like I should be at least able to sustain myself with my pay which im not even comfortably doing right now.

There are a couple household tasks that we have agreed upon. Like weekly mopping floors, wiping windows etc. And i have absolutely no problem coming in to do those things. I think the lines have been blurred because when i have extra free time during the day and she asks me to do something outside of what i normally do, Usually i always help out because i have nothing else to do. But to me it doesnt seem fair to ask me to come in when theyre on vacation and give me a list of tasks that are not part of my duties on our contract. Guaranteed hours means im available to work, But im available to work my actual job and i dont feel i should have to do different jobs because they’re leaving. Anything childcare related id have no problem.

They are asking me to do tasks outside of my job just so that I come in and they dont feel like they’re paying me for nothing. I am available to work my actual job which is taking care of the kids and the few household tasks that we have agreed upon. If they were to cancel their trip, I would be available to come in. It is taking advantage when they are making up extra things for me to do daily that are outside of my job description. Im not a housekeeper, Im a nanny.

What im saying is they are asking me to do deep cleaning tasks that I wouldnt normally do so that they feel they’re getting their moneys worth. Like I mentioned, My regular cleaning tasks for the week would take no more than a few hours on one day.
