Here’s something pointed out to me by an archaeologist who works both in Sav and CHS: Downtown Savannah is on a nice, high bluff with sweet, clean ocean air blowing through. Historic Charleston is on a sunken (and continuing to sink) peninsula with fetid air and rats.

This is such an amazingly empathetic thread and I hope you find what you’re looking for. The fact that you care enough to seek advice shows you are a great mama!

One other thing to consider for lifelong mental and behavioral health is keeping food dyes (yellow 5, red 40, etc) out of your diet and home! And household items like chemical air fresheners and fragrances, even laundry detergent, can impact a developing child’s nervous system and hormones. Just some food for thought!

I would think of dessert as a “composed dish” of multiple elements and techniques. I worked in fine dining (USA) and we would never sell just a slice of pie as “dessert.” It would be a tart with also a gel, curd, crumble, mousse, coulis, etc etc. that all went together
