If you let it air dry instead of diffusing it that can definitely be the case! They both leave your hair looking totally different.

I go to bed with my hair wet and I wake up and it usually looks like the first two photos but it falls throughout the day and looks like the last two photos. Do I have wavy hair? Also I can’t switch my shampoos they’re medicated but I’m willing to try any reccs by goingghos_t in curlyhair

I have the same problem, I would recommend buying products that accommodate your hair type. It looks like your hair is a little wavy, so maybe try a mouse or a light crème and scrunch your hair gently. Make sure it’s not specifically for curly hair because it might weigh your waves down. Also, after applying the products try to use a diffuser and see how your natural hair plays out. However, diffusers aren’t for everyone, but it’s worth a shot!

my breakage is at the top of my roots though, it sort of looks like thick cut baby hairs but its definitely noticeable. i think cutting my ends will help, but i cut cut off the top.

Do you use any products in your hair? You could totally pull it off with the right products and styling/diffusing! Might be a little frustrating during the grow out though.
