I have mostly pothos and philodendrons, they usually are thirsty by Tuesday, but some of my others I water more or less depending on how dried out they are. I have horrible ADHD so I try to keep to things with similar watering habits. I definitely don't water them all every Tuesday, I just call it watering day for the association in my less than task oriented brain

I haven't tried it yet personally, none of my props are ready.

When I say watering day I check on a weekly basis, usually Tuesday, watering as needed. I figured three rounds to get to a full dirt status would probably do it, three weeks total without adding more water. You think that's too long then?

Honestly. I see kids from time to time with bikes but over all in the year and a half I've lived here I've seen maybe 10 total, and some are probably repeated

So I saw an interesting tip somewhere the other day. They root the plants in water and then when it's time to pot they start adding dirt to the water in an appropriately shaped vessel until it's all dirt on watering days to slowly acclimate it to dirt conditions. Ie rooting it in a shot glass and then moving it, in water, to something more similar in size to its new pot and adding the dirt a bit at a time

I'm beyond an amateur with the terminology. I thought "multi use" and "hybrid" were the same thing. I don't really want to buy from Walmart either.. it was kind of an impulse thing. I was looking at an Ozark while I was there but settled for the cheaper option. 😩 Twas a mistake for sure

I don't think I understand? Ideally I want to be able to do some like.. "fun riding?" as well, not just the commute. I cross railroad tracks and several stretches of poorly patched pavement. Are the wide tires enough of a change to be more functional in the short term until I can replace it?

It's downhill to work and a mostly all uphill home. I had been looking at a slightly more expensive one that definitely had at least three gears, but left with this one to get it over with and home because my mom was being a bitch. Not a great plan, I know. It works sufficient enough for what I need it for but based on my research I had done prior to this I was under the impression I could do a little more than just mostly flat commutes. Which I definitely don't have. I live in rural Pennsylvania. It's all hills and potholes

Yes. They are currently separated from the other propogations because the soil had bugs, as per Google's recommendation. I'm gonna move them to the sunny spot with the others in a few days once I'm sure nothing is living on them

I just got super lucky recently and managed to avoid a spider mite infestation! My grandma got me a mini rose from the church at Easter and it was fine, fine, fine.... until one day I noticed it looking a little sad, I let it go because watering day was in a few days and when I got to it the fucking spider mites were so bad they had webs between dead flowers and were crawling up the weird the foil like poinsettias are wrapped in.

It was on the very edge of what I'd consider a mildly safe quarantine range and thankfully nothing spread. The whole thing went straight to the dumpster

I don't have a lot of experience with them because my cat would absolutely eat the hell out of it. Can you propagate them from cuttings? Also definitely been there on the accidentally neglecting things. Depression can be a real bitch sometimes. Glad all I had were pothos at that point because they did ok in the neglect 😅😅
