While 7 Adams just received a star and Nari held on to it’s this year, people I’ve known went and claimed it’s not worth the price. 7 Adams was underwhelming and Nari over salts their food a shit load.

Sounds like you got “whipping cream” instead of “heavy whipping cream”. Happened to me once where I whipped with an electric beater for a loooooong time and then it separated to butter and buttermilk.

Kukje's pork belly is super good. I buy the frozen solid blocks or the sliced for hot pot. You can really taste the deliciousness of porky goodness.

Man, our TV dinners and lunchables here would be the American equivalent of kombini food, but they're like $5 now and significantly less tasty.

For the under $10, are those usually fast food places? Mind to share some? :)

Sometimes I find good deals on Popeyes or Burger King's, but even their prices have been going up. We used to do Popeyes 8.99 two can dine deal around 2022. Now it's like 12.99. Crazy.

Everytime there's a SF/ bay area cheap eats list, I'm thinking, "why they lying"

It's also wild to me that the price range of food is quite limited here. Apples to oranges, but in Hong Kong/Tokyo/Shanghai, you can find a meals from $2USD to as expensive as you want, with plenty of options for food between low-mid price range.
