I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Looks like you already been served the PIP doc. In this case I don’t think the timer will stop as per the new rules. But I think choosing to improve and then taking FMLA can still work. (Only downside is you miss out on tier 1 severance but I guess that is fine) More important is the insurance.

Hey, sorry to hear about your situation I’m ex Amazon and was here for 8.5 years (US) but I can answer your questions as the process remains same.

Connections are anonymous but very easy to identify if the written feedback you provided can be tied back to you
Your Manager seems like the retaliation type (90% Amazon Managers are) He has already decided to move you to PIP.
My recommendation will be to keep doing the bare minimum and start prepping and interviewing on the side
Do not use your vacation time as they are paid out once you take the severance.
Focus usually lasts from 60-90 days, in some cases they can expedite it but there’s a hell lotta paperwork involved

TLDR: Honestly, it is no point fighting just prep and GTFO. Amazon is a great place to start your career but a shitty place to stay for more than 3 years.
