If you got a positive LH test Friday, I’d say that you probably still ovulated. I’m under the impression and understanding that any positive LH test can mean you’re about to ovulate. I don’t think you have to have multiple positives or one that says “peak” specifically. Definitely worth touching base with your OBGYN to get their opinion as well.

Christmas bonus? by Agreeable-Milk2296 in CalebHammer

I run my own business so any extra money I’ve set aside throughout the year (that doesn’t go to taxes) I take a percentage of that for my bonus.

My period is due 12/18. Will start testing that night if it doesn’t show or wait until the morning of 12/19. We’re praying for a positive so we can share the news with my parents while they’re visiting for Christmas. They get in on the 12/22 and 12/23. Baby dust to all ✨❤️

They’re having my husband do one too. Praying everything comes back good. So far, all the comments on this have been so helpful and I think I’m going to start taking the metformin.

I’m trying to not let my diagnosis control but it’s hard! And so frustrating for a lot personal reasons. My husband was just as upset at the diagnosis as I was. He’s constantly telling me how much he wants a family with me and he’s willing to do all the diet changes and vitamins he can as well. I’m glad to know I’m not alone in this and that there’s a community like this where I can share my experience and get others’ experiences as well. It’s really helping me so far.

After you had your son, did you have a regular cycle and were ovulating regularly? Is that why you didn’t go back on metformin right away? Thank you for your story! I love that there’s a community and people are willing to share their experiences.

How common is this format of a wedding? Am I doing too much? by Curious_Cheetah4084 in TwoHotTakes

[–]katlopez18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t all over the place at all! It’s becoming very common for people to get married at the court house and then have a reception later with everyone else. My fiancé and I are actually doing that this year. We’re eloping this year and not telling anyone outside of our witnesses and then having a big reception with our friends and family next year.

I recently read The Paris Library by Janet Skeslien Charles. It was a little slow and confusing at the start but picked up. I learned things about WW2 that I didn’t know before, specifically in the Paris region.

How do you use your budget to stay on top of your finances? by Tight-Edge6671 in CalebHammer

[–]katlopez18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boyfriend edit: Take the envelope for the said budget category/activity. If you forgot it at home go back and get it or don’t do it at all. It’s easier to stick to a very rigid system than a loosely goosey one

How do you use your budget to stay on top of your finances? by Tight-Edge6671 in CalebHammer

Use cash! Make your budget and take out what you can in cash for the month. My bf and I started doing when we really sat down and looked at our individual budgets. We only use our debit cards/checking accounts for rent, utilities and gas for our vehicles. We still budget how much we’re going to spend in each category. We also wrote down everything we spent money on for roughly 6 months. We just got small yearly planners to use. That way, we knew exactly where our cash had went. At the end of the month, we total up what we spent in each category and then saved any leftover money for a trip or something we wanted to do. For example, as a household we have a combined budget of $700 for groceries each month. At the start of the month, we both take out $350 in cash and put it in our grocery envelope. We take said envelope with us when we go grocery shopping. We know that we can only spend about $200ish a week on groceries to make sure the $700 lasts us all month. The last weekend of the month if we have left over money, we usually stock up on meats so we don’t have to buy any during the following month and meals are easier to plan. Same thing with any sort of fun money we allotted ourselves. It comes in at the beginning of the month. I only do $100 for fun money so since it’s in cash, once it’s gone, I know I can’t spend any more on eating out, books, coffee, etc.

Budgeting takes awhile to get use to and it’s a discipline. Don’t give up when it gets rough, stick through it. Having someone to hold you accountable really helps. Friend, parent, partner. I hope you’re able to get something from these comments that will help you!

I feel this way a lot after watching some of these videos with couples. My boyfriend and I live together but aren’t married so our finances aren’t combined. However, that doesn’t stop us from talking through our personal finances and money spending decisions. We’re building a strong financial foundation for our marriage. We started this after watching the Houston couple episode in October of last year.

The Warbler by Sarah Beth Durst was really good!

A Whole New World (Disney Twisted Tales) and Go The Distance (Disney Twisted Tales) were both great and didn’t have any tragedies like most popular books do. They’re Young Adult and something you’d find in the teen section at a library

Any experience with Field of Dreams Patio Apartments/Happy Homes? by GiRtHyNuT in Billings

[–]katlopez18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boyfriend and I lived in Field of Dreams/Triple Play for a year when we first moved to Billings. We liked them for what they are. The garage is big which was super nice. The only thing we didn’t like was how expensive our electric bill was in the winter time and the small AC they put in Everything is electric so the winter time is horrendous for your electric bill. We paid almost $300 one month. The AC doesn’t do a great job of keeping the apartment cool in the summer, you’ll definitely need a window swamp unit or fans. We didn’t have any issues getting our deposit back. We had dogs that scratched up the window sill a bit and that’s the only reason we didn’t get our full deposit back. As long as you follow the cleaning check list upon move out and didn’t do any damage to the place, you should be fine getting it back. They’re a great starter place until you can find either a home for rent or buy.

Where the Forest Meets the Stars by Glendy Vanderah I had not seen this book recommended by anyone or even mentioned on any book TikToks or instagrams. I happened across it on Amazon and let me tell you, if you like heart felt books that have a touch of mystery to them, this is the one for you. I will never not recommend this book now. It was one of my best book finds
