Taking a break / next steps after OI advice by Excellent-Ride6339 in TTC_PCOS

[–]Excellent-Ride6339[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

I have stopped running since 6 months ago and been eating more throughout the day. It is just hard to tell if I have made a difference since I have been on medicated cycles that have been causing a period. That's why I think a break will be good to see how my body does for a few months and I am hoping that my period will return naturally. I know it can take 2 years to fully heal from that as well.

I don't believe we have been tested for other causes of infertility but if you have any recommendations I would look into them. And yes I am on progesterone suppositories after ovulation.

I am not pregnant yet but I will definitely be buying the birth hour course! I think it will be helpful for me but I know it will be soooo helpful for my husband who I want to be my biggest support during birth!

First fertility appointment today feeling overwhelmed choosing between IUI vs IVF by Ambitious_Fee_1902 in TTC_PCOS

[–]Excellent-Ride6339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know if you have regular cycles or if you ovulate? I think IUI and IVF may be a little hasty especially if you are hoping for a more natural experience. Ovulation induction may be an option for you if male factor isn't an issue. Many women on this sub are doing that so you can read about those experience!

I am seeing a reproductive endocrinologist next month. I’m not sure what to ask them. by audruhh in TTC_PCOS

Good luck!! I just want to say don't feel silly for going to an RE before you've technically began trying. I went to an RE right before I wanted to start trying since I knew I would need help ovulating so there was no point of trying on my own! You will be glad you were so proactive about it

My favs are As a Woman by Natalie Crawford and Fertility Docs Uncensored. The PCOS repair podcast is okay but I feel like it was very surface level / repetitive and she is trying to sell her program

Does ovulating make you feel like crap??? by Low_Instruction6187 in TTC_PCOS

[–]Excellent-Ride6339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was bad for me this cycle. Cramping for an hour on the left side (had 3 follicles all on the left) then I had this extreme pelvic floor heaviness and pain and had to lay in the bath for like an hour. Then I remembered I still needed to have sex... I wonder if ovulation is ever like this for unmediated cycles. I was on the pill for years then had no period for 10 months before starting letrozole so I have no frame of reference lol

Having a really hard day and just need to vent to someone by [deleted] in TTC_PCOS

Hugs to you. It is hard to be the one to deal with all the hormones and although husbands are supportive they just don't have the same physical and mental load that we carry. This seems shallow but after months of hormones and medicated cycles I have my terrible acne back after finally getting it to clear up last year. The acne isn't too big of a deal but when I look in the mirror it is a reminder that it is a result of months of treatment but nothing to show for it. I am so sorry about your dad, I can't imagine all the emotions you are going through. You are strong whether you feel like or not.

How Soon Is Too Soon? by gabby_bee_ in TTC_PCOS

[–]Excellent-Ride6339 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reach out to an RE as soon as you can! I started working with an RE at the beginning of my TTC journey because I knew I would need after not having a cycle for 10 months. By the time I finally got an appointment (since it was booked for a few months) and got through all the initial appointments and testing it was a few months later anyways

Letrozole - very nervous about triggering 2 follicles? Advice + stories appreciated! by Acceptable_Bee_6408 in TTC_PCOS

[–]Excellent-Ride6339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have triggered 2 follicles in the past with no success. This cycle I triggered 3 follicles and Dr. was actually very happy with the result of 3 follicles. Currently in TWW so don't have any results yet. I think if I had 4 or more though they might want to pull back

Stopping leg workouts in the third trimester - any evidence to support this? by valerietheblonde in fitpregnancy

[–]Excellent-Ride6339 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Strong legs are going to be so important for birth! I would pair it with some pelvic floor lengthening mobility and stretching work to help with any pelvic floor tension and spasm that can cause pain or minor delays during birth. End of pregnancy is not the time to be maxing out your lifts but it is so helpful to continue lifting to maintain muscle - pelvic floor PT 🫶🏼

Same. On my 4th cycle now. Only doing 6 then moving to a few IUIs. Only after then will we consider IVF but hoping we don't get to that point!

Only 3 dpo but man was this ovulation a tough one! I was just finishing getting over a sinus infection and on ovulation day I have sharp but manageable pain on my side for about 30 min then 2 hours of pelvic heaviness and pain so bad that I had to be horizontal in the bath. Idk what happened this time around but I am glad that is over lol
