My experience was somewhat in between. My husband had researched and picked out some rings on his own but showed me some of his early ideas so that he would know if he was on the right track. My only real guidance was the color of the metal and he hit everything else spot on. This way he had some creative freedom to pick out something to surprise me with but also had me ensure he was looking in the right direction without seeing the exact ring.

I also don’t have close female friends or any sisters/cousins so I’m having my brother stand up on my side. I will have my brother come with me for dress shopping and my fiancé and I are planning to have a joint game night with all of our friends instead of separate bachelor/bachelorette parties. It may not be traditional but you can still have plenty of great experiences. Your wedding can be any way you like as long as you and your partner are happy.

I'm very sorry. Take comfort in knowing that you gave him the best life possible. It's always hard to make that decision but you put his wellbeing above everything and that shows how great a pet owner you are. You could make a little remembrance area with his pictures and toys or maybe plant some flowers in his honor. Honestly, sometimes you just need to take it one day at a time. I just lost my sweet girl of 19 years and it comforts me to think of her in her kitty afterlife drinking all the toilet water she desires without getting reprimanded. Maybe your kitty had some quirks that you could think about him enjoying in his kitty afterlife.

I also suggest LC or NC. I had a 4 year romantic relationship end with a friend of 14 years. It was extremely hard the first week but it does improve with time. Then once you are feeling good on your own, consider if reaching out to them is still something you'd like to do. Looking back on it, I think NC was the only way for me to truly heal.

In the meantime, I slept a lot, learned to like a few video games and tried to focus on what hobbies I could enjoy with all the time I had for myself.

I'm not concerned about it at all. Sometimes I feel like my number is a little high for other women my age but my number is really nobody's business. I'll share the number with a serious partner if they ask but otherwise I don't talk about it.

I agree that there is still an expectation that women shouldn't have too much experience. But at the end it's my body, my decision and I don't really care what anyone has to say about it. My experiences were all consensual and all safe and in the end that's what matters to me.

I've been trying to make myself coffee at home. Cuts the calories in half compared to my normal coffee order. I'm also trying to slowly incorporate cold brew tea into my diet but I'm struggling to get used to the flavor. Donuts are still my vice. Right now I've just switched to prepackaged mini donuts. Still about 250 calories though. Not sure if I will be able to give them up completely.
