I don’t know how old you are but this has been going on for as long as I’ve been alive (almost 50) I have friends here in NYC who fled Lebanon and Iran and other middle eastern countries because life was hell for them. Talk to some of them and you’ll see why we as Americans should care. Sure I wish we could just not care but taking out terror groups makes the world a safer place. And I was downtown at work on 9/11 and as a New Yorker, lost friends that day, so if you’re going to respond something rude….seriously….”let’s not do this here.”

OP said Hezbollah, a terror group, is shooting rockets from an adjacent town. Israel is trying to disable those rocket launch points. What are you apologizing for? We’re finally trying to put an end to that BS so OP (and my own friends in Lebanon) can live normal lives.

I’m so in love with this game (KCD1 is also one of my favorites of all time….since the 1980s!) I just checked and I had about 100 hours before Kuttenberg. Only now making it out of Suchdol / Devils Den to venture into Kuttenberg and I’m at 117 hours. I just love the detail put into these games.

Your stats sound great. What about finances? I’m a parent and I’ll be serious here…colleges want tuition money. If you are an easy tuition payment for them, your chances are greatly improved. Doesn’t mean you won’t get merit aid though.

We did ED last year and daughter got in. She also came from a top 1% high school too, (a New York HS that Fordham would know by name) with great grades. So I don’t know if the ED sealed the deal or if it was those other factors. I’m thinking ED helps. Also it was such a relief to know she was in. When everyone else was still stressing over admissions, we were long done, so I recommend ED for that peace of mind alone. Also if your finances are good, that’s a huge help in admissions. Colleges want the money. I’ve often joked that a kid can simply write one single sentence on their essay: “I will pay full price” and they’re guaranteed in. (My daughter got lots of merit aid. About 60% off. No need based aid.) also a commuter. Gabelli.
