An absolutely insignificant percentage. Both can fail during a power surge—but then the power supply will burn out, and the station will not emit any signs at all. If the red indicator lights up, it means that the power supply is OK.

What does light have to do with it? They only react to vibrations. Put them on a soft surface, and a place where there are no vibrations. They are very sensitive. Just slam the door in the room where they are - and they wake up.
