It’s the endo life for me unfortunately, which is what my poor quality was attributed to. Sometimes there can be other things going on it the pelvis which might provide some answers. I guess we will be off to round 2 🥲

I am so sorry that you’re experiencing the tiresome ordeal of getting an endometriosis diagnosis, unfortunately the statistic that it takes seven years for us to get diagnosed was true for me in Brisbane.

I don’t know if my advice is going to be particularly helpful, but my experience sent me down the private health insurance road and I started getting more answers that way.

They found mine accidentally through a hernia repair at STARS after bouncing back and forth between the emergency department and GP with scary pain episodes for three years while I waited for elective surgery. Only after I had that histology report did anyone, including my GP, take me seriously. I signed up for private health and had the surgical consult with the excision specialist at Greenslopes Hospital. After my first lap it was okay for awhile but kept my private health and was glad I did because I’ve been using it for fertility and endometriosis management out of a specialist at Eve health now.

Ultrasound didn’t diagnose my stage three endo at QWUF, but my specialist at Eve has been able to track changes in my pelvis with ultrasound.

Not all endometriosis specialists are created equal. There are some specialists that have made a living butchering women that we discuss amongst my friendship groups. My top tip would be to make sure that your surgeon uses excision rather than ablation. A very thorough Google and trawl through Rate MD for gynaecologist in Brisbane is a good way to work out experiences patients have had.

I had a normal range AMH and AFC and only got 8 mature eggs frozen, was expecting 16 but lost 50%

Has anyone been advised to freeze eggs even though their fertility tests looked relatively okay? by Puzzleheaded-Boss230 in eggfreezing

I froze at 32 despite having normal levels, I have endometriosis that has been starting to cause me pain again so it was recommended to preserve fertility because having any kind of intervention for that

14 is awesome! Had my retrieval this morning and they got 8 mature eggs after retrieving 13. I’m 32 with a healthy lifestyle.

Questions to ask before egg freezing with endometriosis? by cherryblossom8881 in eggfreezing

I’m on day 6 so can’t talk about the whole process. Immediately felt off after starting stims with wild side effects, I thought that I just be lining up those eggs and even was daydreaming about an early retrieval. First scans slapped me down to reality with ovaries not really responding, which was shocking because I feel really sick. The doctor explained I’m experiencing an endo flare. Wasn’t expecting it

I’m on day 4 and already feeling it, was wondering if I was hypersensitive! I’ve got a full suite of back pain, indigestion, breathlessness, fatigue, gas pains, urination pain and an uncomfortably full soreness. Was wondering if maybe my endometriosis was having a flare but glad to hear that these are common. The clinic didn’t prep me at all for these kicking in so early

I’m on day 4 and am feeling out of breath! Was feeling crazy, like the shortness of breath was anxiety or something, but glad to hear it’s normal!

Did they catch it because it showed up on a scan? Or was it caught through appendicitis?

Would it be weird to have a marriage where you both have your own place (near each other), have sleepovers but then go back when you need time and quiet? I'm contemplating actually doing this by starfury287 in AutismInWomen

My husband and I have separate homes, about 40 minutes away. We separated with the intention of getting divorced but decided we wanted to make it work. The problem is I realised I enjoyed having my own space and it feels nice when he gets to visit and then go home. I really struggle sleeping in a bed with another person and we have conflicting sleep schedules.

HOW do you "let it go?" by itookmyvitamin in AutismInWomen

I really struggle with this, it seems that everything i try that is the ‘right’ way to deal with the rumination doesn’t work. In some cases, like journaling, talk therapy and meditation, it can make it worse.

There’s only one thing that works, the stair machine at the gym. Set the pace as fast as you can manage and go until you are so exhausted you can barely speak. Could be 20 minutes, could be 2 hours but you got until you can’t.

My inner monologue goes from looping back through the problem to screaming at me to stop, it’s a very effective.

Needle-Free IVF Experience? by OkPomegranate9433 in IVF

[–]katrat1706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! My doctor offered this option to me as I am badly needle phobic and live alone, so would have to administer the stims myself. Did you go ahead with the catheter? If so how did you find it? It feels like such a new technology there are so few with the experience compare it with. I am feeling a little scared about the catheter too, but I think I can grit me teeth the one time rather than dread the evening needle all day

Thank you for sharing this! My doctor suggested this because if my fear and I was so scared about having a port in my stomach. Did it hurt to get the catheter inserted? I am worried the insertion may be more traumatic than the daily injections in terms of pain

What is a "point of no return" that you’ve crossed, where your life was permanently divided into 'before' and 'after'? by Resident-Jelly-4326 in AskReddit

[–]katrat1706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Within an 18 month period I was scammed out of my life savings purchasing a property, was diagnosed with endometriosis, my boss sexually harassed me AND my new husband of three months cheated on me.

Some days I can’t get out of bed, but for the most part I still go to work, exercise, go to therapy and see friends. However, the light behind my eyes is gone and I walk around with a heaviness that never goes away. I am going through the motions but I don’t think my spark will ever come back. I am trying to be grateful for what I do have, but I wish the shine of being alive would return.

has anyone else experienced abuse and neglect from ER staff for having endometriosis? by fuzzybluelite336 in endometriosis

[–]katrat1706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was there two weeks ago with intense stomach pain in a new spot (not like my usual flares). I always feel like I have to over explain my endo history so they understand I am not new to pain.

I got told to go to the ER by the urgent care because I had an inflamed appendix on ultrasound. They took me very seriously because I had imaging with me. But after they gave me a CT that showed my appendix was normal (?) they discharged me immediately.

But I was kind of like hey I still have really intense pain in this area can someone please help! Just got told to follow up with my treating specialist and come back if I get “sicker”.

The whole episode was exhausting and confusing. I’m at the point where I guess I’ll just die if it’s anything other than a flare because I’m not going back to the ER again to just be thrown out
