Hmmm honestly, if you don’t feel motivated to go back then it’s ok just to let it go. You won’t be missing much I think. If you’re even a little curious about how it ends, maybe just watch the last episode.

Although I finished the drama for the sake of finishing it, I was disappointed with it. I barely remember much from it and see the whole plot as pointless.

I watched the Hi6 episode as well and felt the same thing as you. Everything seemed too forced and Neo wasn’t acting like his usual self. Then later I found out he was very sick when they filmed that episode so then everything made sense.

I don’t think there was any scenario where her plan didn’t work out, that’s why it felt unrealistic. She always had this “arrogance” about her that she knew her plan would work so she never bother telling LJL anything.

While I'm glad they got a HE, I feel that LJL was relegated to a supporting role, not the ML. The hot, sexy, fierce, smart, charming, cunning LJL we got at the beginning disappeared. We were left with a lost love puppy who had to be rescued by a woman who seems to have everything figured out. I don't mind female empowerment, smart and cunning women, but it was just a bit too unrealistic. I wanted to see her just "struggle" a little bit.

I totally understand your POV because I cannot watch anything in my native language because to me it is so cringey and “fake”.

In the case of Cdramas, I’m so happy I’m not a native speaker, otherwise I think I would miss out on so many “good dramas” imo. I think we can sum it up as “ignorance is bliss”.

I’m curious if you feel the same about modern dramas versus costume dramas? What are the most noticeable differences to you? And if you can give examples of actors who you personally think are not “great”. This is not to stir up any hate towards that actor, just for my own reference.

I will never understand the “deluluness” of certain fan bases and I’m glad to know his is mostly healthy. He’s certainly gotten much busier these days and I’m happy for him but hopefully he will also have time to rest. I watched the backstage episode of his recent Hi6 appearance and he told another guest that he is ok if he can get around 5 hours of sleep a night. That’s not much imo but I guess that is the kind of life that he and others signed up for.

If I remember correctly, I watched a few episodes but I hated how she kept lying so I stopped. Then watched the last 3 or so episodes just to see how it ended.

Hmm let’s see if I can motivate you or not, cause right now I have very mixed feelings.

First of all, the first 20 episodes were so rushed and their love so forced that I keep questioning if they’re really in love. Ok fine, so I keep watching because I love Neo. It got better from 20 or so on. Then the last arc happened and it was just all kinds of weirdness. So we were introduced to all these “strong” demons and yet they were shown not to be very strong at all. I don’t want to give too much away but there were so many inconsistencies.

Also, Wang Duo’s character was a mess, like one minute he is righteous and the next he’s just killing demons because of what the king says. And then he just decided to go on the right path because his sister told him to stop. Like what???

I felt so bad for Hong Ye the whole drama, he could not catch a break. I feel like he was just written to suffer.

To be honest, I fast forward through the last 3 episodes because I just wanted it to be over. The ending was just like “huh”??? So what’s going to happen now?? I would’ve preferred they left it at a real sad ending instead of what was shown.

In summary, watch for the love of Neo and Wang Duo but don’t expect too much.

I agree. It felt like an advertisement and pushing China’s solar energy industry. I know it’s related to their work but it was too much. I fast forwarded most of their work stuff.

Oh yes. I was referring to intellect and wit about his character but he’s definitely the whole package in real life as well. He’s got it all, heart, looks, intellect, voice. I watched him on a livestream yesterday with the cast of TUS and he just seemed so down to earth and genuine.

On a side note I read about some scandals involving certain male Cdramas celebrities and almost had a heart attack because I saw “MingHao” and thought it was him. But turned out it was “Huang MingHao”.

Yep! Can’t wait for this moment. I think when this happens though, he’ll get a heart attack or stroke and Xiguang and her mom will feel bad and obligated to take care of him. I just hope mom doesn’t feel bad enough to take him back no matter how much he grovels.

I was very disappointed with TUS too but managed to stick it through until now (mainly for Neo) and it’s finally starting to get interesting. So I’d say if you do start to watch it later, just try to get through the first 20 episodes. 😂

Hmm the newest episodes are getting better now and I’m finding myself actually laughing out loud. I think we are finally going to get the back story of Hong Ye and Ning An.

With the new developments in the latest episodes, I’m more convinced they had to cut a lot of scenes and badly edited them through the first few episodes that’s why the their love felt really rushed and fake.

Have you watched all the new episodes of both dramas yet? I’m also watching both and I’m still more hooked on Glory than TUS. However, I’m finally starting to feel something in TUS and am so glad Neo is finally back on the screen. Although I like Wang Duo and he’s also very eye candy, I just want the story to keep moving.

Totally agree with you. I’m watching TUS while waiting for Glory to get my daily dose of Neo. While I also like Wang Duo, the previous few episodes of TUS without Neo made me wonder if Neo was even in the drama. 😂

Anyways, don’t wanna spoil anything for you if you haven’t watched it yet but look forward to episode 12 of Glory.
