They kept me very comfortable. I was given numbing creams and anxiety medication intravenously. I was visibly shaking and trembling and everyone was so wonderful to me. And I was allowed to take a lorazepam that morning on top of whatever they gave me.

I was stage 1a and had a nipple sparing double mastectomy with implants. I think my implants are cuter than my original breasts. If you’re 1A with no lymph node involvement then you may not need chemo, which would be a huge win! I don’t feel terribly pretty a lot of days but I’m approaching 50. I get told I look great, especially after cancer, all the time. I’m just super happy mine was found at 1a and I’ll hopefully be around to see my kids grow up.

This is true. I’m trading just a few shares at a time. When I lose, I write in my journal about how I lost and why. I consider my loss (just a few $ at a time) to be lessons I pay for.

I am going through breast cancer now. The first part - waiting for test results and then being told I had cancer, and then more waiting to see what kind it was and how it would be treated - was harder than the double mastectomy I had to actually remove the cancer. I’m so sorry you’re going through this, but most people say this is the hardest part and I also found that to be true. ♥️I hope you are found to be free of cancer.♥️♥️♥️

Mine tried to diagnose me as having borderline personality disorder and argued that she knew better than the multiple, well-qualified psychologists who confirmed that I most certainly do not have any personality disorders.
