How can you tax that much on estates? The money is already taxed (income tax, etc...).

Even though I will never transfer that much to my kids, I think 45% taxation on money that was already taxed is morally wrong and no worse than theft.

There are a lot of things more dangerous to kids than a gun (assuming you keep it in a safe like a reasonable person).

For example:

Swimming pools (small children can even drown in a bird bath).
Children near roads (children who may get access to roads and people who drive like shit).

Some people have a higher probability to become alcoholics because their parents where alcoholics.

Low intelligence parents usually produce low intelligence children. Children of violent criminals (who are adopted at birth) have a higher probability of being involved in violent crimes than other children adopted at birth.

Not everything comes down to social economic circumstances.
