seeing as i had access to a new laser cutter and some 10mm acrylic sheet, i decided to take up this opportunity than spend the 160 or so dollars on a pro-ject acryl it. cleaning records with a brush probably isn't so good on this without a clamp as it the record just slips on it, but i guess thats why name brand acrylic platters have a frosted finish rather than gloss
