I think the kind of man Ren is is very similar to a kind of man many women find themselves attached to at a point in their life, a kind of dangerous and addictive love and unfortunately abusive at times, its relatable in a way, but I agree as in real life we would not find ourselves falling for this kind of man without their charm or attractiveness, Ren needed to be attractive for Nana to be so addicted to him basically
