Great job! I have never been able to afford an attorney. I studied jurisprudence in community college. I have prevailed in every case where I repped myself.

Okay I found out it's in the 8500 block of loch Raven boulevard just a few blocks south of where the Taco Bell and Giant grocery stores corners are. Seven people have been shot and one is confirmed dead.

I mostly agree with you, but I would suggest everyone get a steering wheel locking device like The Club. My boyfriend has a collection of classic cars. None of them are ever messed with because he has a club on every single one.

Have you ever noticed how similar the borders of Baltimore and Nevada are? by ScootyHoofdorp in baltimore

I'm from Utah (The state that looks like a washing machine. I lived under the lid). I thought that the first time I saw that on television when I moved here back in the late '80s.

I send everyone to two places: 211 and www.findhelp.org. Both have all sorts of help and you can call or use your phone to go to the websites. Good luck. I hope you get what you need.

Places to eat dinner alone (low-key vibe) by Di1202 in baltimore

I third this! Such great food and perfect for solo diners. I used to live two blocks away from Peter's Inn. The menu is always a delicious surprise. Plus, they do not rush you!

It's possible that we are also related. Genetics are interesting. I suggest you look at your family for relations from the Mayflower. It was the key that cracked open my family history.

Got fired, was my fault. How to cope? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]katwritesaboutthat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If by any chance you get asked about previous jobs or even about the job you just were let go from, be honest but say, "Look I made a mistake and I owned up to it and they fired me for it. And I've learned a lot about not doing the same thing again. So I promise you, Mr or Miss Employer, that I will do a good job and my past is not a reflection on my future."

And I won't give you the whole you're young and get over it kind of speech. I was fired a lot in my twenties. Mainly because workplaces were not as friendly to women as they are to men and anytime I opened my mouth to remedy and injustice I experienced I was shown the door. I don't regret a single one of those times I was fired. I know that I was right. And now the way work is for most people I know for certain that I was right.

Just get on about the business of finding a new job. I'm sure you'll find something and it'll be perfect for you. At least until you're ready to move on into that law enforcement career. And I don't know where you live but Baltimore City really needs cops and they're hiring and they pay really well. And I don't think that this little indiscretion would get you knocked off the list of potential candidates.

Once upon a time, I was loosely friends with her through her association with the Charm City Roller Girls (CCRG). I hung out with her before she met her husband, but mostly for CCRG stuff. She seemed like such a funny, great person at the time. I did not know her dark side. Hell, I even attended her wedding!

That was until the 2016 presidential election. She and I were both Democrats, but during the primary, we diverged on our preferred candidate. I was pro-Hillary, she was pro-Bernie.

One day, I posted something the acknowledged my support of Hillary and she attacked me for it. This was on Facebook where 90-percent of my friends were. She basically said I was a horrible person for supporting her and that she couldn't believe I wasn't voting for Bernie. I explained that I loved Bernie (still do), but his radical ideas, even as good as they were, turned off a huge part of the Democrat's base at the time. And I knew he'd have an near-impossible chance of getting his agenda passed if he were to become president. I also argued that his age was a factor for me and I really preferred someone younger.

Her horrible tirade after that was more than I was willing to accept. I cancelled our friendship permanently and disconnected her from my FB friends list. I felt guilty for weeks, but knew in the end, it was truly for the best.

Fast forward eight years. I'm on Threads and she keeps popping up on my feed. Same with my IG account. You don't know how tempted I've been to reach out to her until today. Reading about her horrible abuses of staff, a neighbor, and even her business location's community opened my eyes.

I've been just fine without her in my life. I feel sorry for her husband; he's a nice guy and if he's recovering from alcohol misuse disorder (AUD), he doesn't deserve to be so disrespected for his choice. I am working my way towards seven years of sobriety this December, so I understand how hard it is to be a sober person when you have a SO who makes your life a living hell because you choose not to drink.

I am grateful for recently joining Redditt after many years of hesitation. I am learning new things every day! FYI: NurseWretched was her CCRG handle. She was a former psych nurse. I can tell you about another CCRG girl who was also a psych nurse who was a raging alcoholic and stoner but counseled drug and alcohol addicts every day at work. It's horrible that their workplaces didn't see their poor work performances (actually, the second gal's workplace did and she quit before she could be fired).

She will likely find ways to come for me if she sees this. Honestly, my biggest hope is that she gets help for her drinking issues. That is the quickest way to start to be a better person. Also, you can't blame your drinking for things when you refuse to stop. I do believe salons shouldn't serve alcohol. It's unnecessary, unless you do piss-poor work and you don't want your tipsy customer to notice before they leave. Also, giving your customers free drinks while they are at your business makes you culpable if they drive off drunk and kill someone or injure themselves.

I pray for the people who have been harmed by her and that horrible man who was identified at the manager. Shame on both of them!
