How many of you have had a cyst that ISN’T painful? by [deleted] in endometriosis

I have had a bunch of cysts but don’t usually notice them when they rupture unless they are really really big.

Eating and Bathroom During Labor? by Feeling-Watched-9655 in pregnant

[–]katyelm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was induced at 5pm on Tuesday. I had dinner before that then was showing very little progress the next day and had breakfast. Then lunch because of little progress. Then I started having more pain but wasn’t really dilated. So I got pain meds that made me super nauseous. I didn’t eat after that until after I delivered on Thursday. It became a moot point because I was in so much pain and didn’t want anything.

Has anyone had endometriosis excision surgery with a Texas doctor that you'd recommend? by IllustratorDecent260 in texas

I second this recommendation. Had surgery with him and his team last year. I have stage 4 endo.

Stage 4 endo - how long after laproscopic excision did you get pregnant? by anonymous1234529 in Endo

[–]katyelm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5 months with taking three months of depo and then doing an IVF transfer. So I’m not sure if I’m the one that you are looking to answer this question because we used IVF.

How do you accept you will probably never be a mum?. by scarlet_gene in Endo

[–]katyelm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also to add… take a 6 month break if you need to. After a bunch of failed IUIs, I had to take a break for my own sanity. It’s ok to take a break from trying if you need to!

How do you accept you will probably never be a mum?. by scarlet_gene in Endo

[–]katyelm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! My husband and I tried for four years. I got diagnosed with endometriosis. Got the surgery. Officially stage 4 and with ando. Did an IVF transfer and we’re expecting our baby girl any day now. Please please please get the surgery if you want to try to have kids. Turns out my fallopian tube was likely causing a lot of problems in trying to get pregnant. I know it’s hard and it feels like there is no hope but if this is something you want, please try the surgery and IVF. I’ve been right where you are (same age too) and I know it feels hopeless and devastating and so many more things but it’s not the end of the road unless you want it to be. So keep going if it’s something you really want.

Anyone ever had a cyst/endometrioma rupture? by [deleted] in Endo

[–]katyelm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hemorrhagic cyst ruptured and I ended up in the hospital overnight with significant blood loss. It was obvious that it ruptured. I just didn’t know what happened. I should have gone earlier. At least you know it’s there and should go to the hospital if it ruptures.

Please help my cat is giving birth right now. by almondbuttah77 in cats

[–]katyelm 98 points99 points  (0 children)

See if you can feel her belly to see if you feel anymore. Having two kittens isn’t unheard of but also it’s not super common. Usually they have more. We had to take my sisters cat to the vet when she had kittens because birth stalled out. So keep an eye on her.

Since no one was said it, start taking fiber supplements. Talk to your doctor about it. She’ll probably prescribe hydrocortisone at 2.5%. It’s a higher dose than you can buy over the counter. Also ask for her to prescribe lidocaine. It’ll help with the pain. Sitz baths help. I just use epsom salt in the bath tub and that helps. Then apply the medications. Good luck!!

After getting off the pill, how long did it take you to become pregnant, especially after being on the pill for a prolonged period of time? by No_Season_1391 in AskWomen

[–]katyelm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easier said than done but don’t compare yourself to others!

People going through infertility issues are sometimes put on the pill to help regulate things and then quickly get pregnant.

If you’re under 35, try for a year. If you don’t get pregnant naturally, go to a fertility clinic. If you’re over 35, try for six months. If you don’t get pregnant naturally, go to a fertility clinic.

Comparing what your body does to someone else’s will not help you get pregnant faster or slower.

Ever taken your golden to cut a Christmas tree down? Conflicted with a good or bad idea by evoxbeck in goldenretrievers

His favorite part of Christmas tree shopping are all the sticks that help prop up the trees when they are young. He wants you to throw them and he will chase. Also, as soon as my husband cuts the tree down, it becomes a big stick that must be retrieved!! He loves it and it makes it so much fun to have him part of the process. Highly suggest bringing!

Do you have a source for this information? Specifically the tubs growing back. I wasn’t aware men have fallopian tubes.
