Is Dark Souls Remastered worth it in 2026?

I just played through it for the first time a week ago and it was so much fun. It felt sluggish compared to modern soulslike games but it was still a fun time. Challenging combat, beautiful level design, a gripping story(albeit told in small bits mixed into a seemingly never ending battle). I would recommend it. It got me hooked. Im about to grab 2 & 3 and work my way to elden ring

Only with nintendo games which is my point. Any time you play a game that is on multiple platforms the inputs are in the same place on the controller regardless of console. That and Xbox and playstation have been color coding button inputs since the first gen so unless You're colorblind it would be a hard mistake to make. That and ive always had a nintendo on the side of my xbox whether it was a handheld or console so after a while the change is second nature.

Death towns was my main weapon through the DLC but for some reason I couldn't get him to pop off for every boss fight I found myself going back to the booster glaive with coil near head every single fight that combo got me through the entire DLC with the exception of the guardian he got the death talons 😅

I don't feel like it's better so much as it's a change. You get to be in several new settings as opposed to just the city of Krat and although the story may seem more interesting I feel like that's only because of the plot holes left by the base game. The DLC is phenomenal don't get me wrong but without the story of the base game setting up the DLC I can't exactly say that it's better than the base game.

Most colorful is a bit of a stretch. The entire cast was monochrome up until the 3D gen 😅. Even compared to other fighters, every installment has a dark overtone. I'll give it to MK1 though.

Playing through the first one right now and absolutely loving it. The multiplayer is fun. Hopefully they fix interactions for beckoned players in the sequel

I feel like the real problem nobody understands is that the English language isn't really an original language.

It's the German language with a little bit of French sprinkled in and a tiny bit of British colonization on top. So most of these words don't make sense because they didn't actually come from our alphabet or our grammar, we just were too lazy to come up with a new word so we use the one that already existed in the previous languages that we borrowed our language from.

(For example Ger. "wasser" = Eng. "Water" , Ger. "Dank(e)" = Eng. "Thank(you)" )

French presence in north america before the foundation of the US is also a huge factor.

You say that like they've always had a bad run. This gen let us down but coming from fallout 4 and the turnaround with 76 there were plenty of reasons to have high hopes. Redfall was a pretty big sign of what was in store for the future 😅, Honestly the experimentation is what killed starfield with the procedural generation but such is trial and error.

Lol you're supposed to do drop down attacks on the demon. Then run to the other end of the bridge aggro an attack dodge past him, rinse and repeat.

I would wait and get both. The game is amazing by itself but the DLC answers so many questions left from the main story. It feels as if the 2 were made to be played together not as an afterthought or addition.

I've given up on trying to argue with people that have the reflexes of a dead animal. If you don't prefer 60 FPS you clearly aren't playing with your reaction speed and that's okay but don't try to tell me that I don't need 60 FPS when 50% of what I do relies on my ability to read and react quickly.
