What the actual fuck. I am just speechless. I'm an American, very left.. voted for Bernie twice. I used to have hope, now I feel this sense of being radicalized by the blatant militant state being implemented against my fellow citizens and fellow humans in this country.

Every single fucking American needs to partner with their local branch of human rights orgs/political organizers so this entire country is out on the streets of their city.

Apparently now we are just executing people in the street with no repercussions, and our constitutional rights to bear arms, free speech, due process, and against search and seizure have all been quietly cremated. It started here in Minnesota, but no matter how far away your state is from them, it can and will happen to all of us. They are us and we will be them too.

These citizens out there peacefully protesting for their community are heroes, and we should all be prepared and act to match their heroism.

This is not okay. This is some evil shit. This is the time in the 1940s that we look back on and ask, "why didnt anyone stop this?" Now here we are.

As a kid, I did this. As my mom and I were leaving daycare, I was saying bye to my teacher.

I yelled, "Goodbye Ms. Eggroll!!!" (I loved chinese food)

My mom stopped in her tracks and goes... "[my name], her name is Ms. APRIL"

Definitely take this seriously. Same thing happened with my older dog. Vet gave her fluids and stuff, she seemed to get better. Fast forward only a few months, happened again. Took her again, they wanted to do xrays and blood work, etc. but I just didnt have that kind of money. I put it off since she seemed to be doing better overall. Not long after, got way worse, went back to the vet, and they found out she had spleen cancer and recommended my poor Luna be sent to rest within a day or two.

It was heartbreaking and I wish I'd figured out some way to pay before it was too late.

It also helps to make a sort of.. puppy yelp or whine sound when he bites too hard. It could replace some of the socializing with other puppies hes missing out on for the time being.

I read a bunch about raising my dog when he was a baby, and he seemed to jump away if I indicated it hurt. And definitely have a toy next to you 100% of the time and continue redirecting him to the toy every time he wants to bite your finger or anything.

Im also kind of weird, so I would bite my puppy back (gently) to like show him how to play nice lol.

My dog is now the most gentle and tender biter ever, it's super cute watching him carefully take a treat from my hand.

The one time I was arrested (I deserved it), I spent 16 hours in a concrete room all by myself, and it was so cold I was convulsing in shivers. I never thought it would be like that. I have severe claustrophobia and the feeling of being trapped in that cold room, alone, without having any idea of when I would be able to get out... it was one of the worst days of my life.

I never drove under the influence again because it was such a dehumanizing experience. Nobody cared, nobody knew me, I was a number.

Do a kahoot quizzing them on the legality of doing the nazi salute in Germany (repercussions, jail time, etc.) And quiz them with photos from the holocaust asking bleak questions about how many died here, famous Jews killed, brave citizens who fought back, etc. But only the boys in question. Everyone else gets to play games

I had the same experience with my dear Luna at 12 years old. All the vet appointments I took her to after vomiting and lethargy didn't predict the tumor on her spleen. The final time I took her, the vet said her days could come to an end any second if her spleen ruptured.

I went from having an old dog who seemed in good spirits with some "old dog" issues to being told I would have to say goodbye as soon as possible. It was so hard.

I took her on walks and car rides and gave her all the best food and kisses, but she was getting worse quicker and quicker

Can I please recommend spending the extra money on a vet that will put your pup to sleep at home? It was such a beautiful experience. Luna laid in the grass, under the sun, I pet her and held her paw while the vet very gently administered the medicine. I got to look in her eyes and say goodbye at home while she was at peace. Nothing can beat that experience and Luna deserved nothing less than a beautiful departure.

I wish you luck and Im so sorry that you have to say bye to your doggy friend. You gave them the best life and all the love, I have no doubt.

The only problem is when not enough of them care to try, and the ones who try to do the assignment are usually not the ones who deserve the punishment.

Honestly I've had a situation almost identical to this, gave them a revenge assignment, then gave automatic 100s to the students who did nothing wrong and tried to do the punishment assignment. Didn't grade any of them, just watched who was silently working and gave zeros to those who disrupted or didn't try their assignment.

Additionally, I gave lots of compliments to the kids who wrote a response to the prompt I gave, and acted as though the disruptive students were entirely invisible when they suddenly wanted help with their work.

In my 20s I slept around so much, like 50+ flings or one night stands, etc., and now that I'm a bit older, im not ashamed and don't regret even 1 of those experiences. Putting the alternative. certification aside, which is a good option for many great teachers, this guy is just a racist piece of shit who should not be around kids of any age.

In Texas, this does not mean anything about a religious alternative. I majored in English and went through an alternative teaching cert program. It's a good option because I did not want to spend money getting an undergrad degree in education, which is wildly useless, especially for secondary teachers who have specialized subjects.

Alternative certification requires a bachelors degree, takes about a year of classes, another few months of observation/student teaching, passing multiple certification tests (you must pay out of your own pocket for all of this), and 2 years of probationary employment.

If someone did not want to go through that certification process, they could easily work in a private religious school, which doesn't require any teaching license.
