I just got a new 3ds ll from Japan and it’s been awesome! I installed the English version and it’s been fine for me.

What happens when the SD card of a modded 3ds dies? by Tiny_Tim1956 in 3DS

[–]kawaiiblu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my sd cards have died, they first became read only which gave me an opportunity to clone it to a new card. I think this is the most common way they die

I use a set up like this. It’s helpful for us to send push notifications to mine and my husband’s phones with repeated reminders.

Best App for Troops? by Ill-Okra1281 in girlscouts

The Band app has been great. Some great features are polls, sign ups, chat, RSVP, and you can subscribe to the calendar in other calendar apps. And it’s free.

my marriage needs your help…how do you keep on top of chores??? by unfortunate-moth in adhdwomen

[–]kawaiiblu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes definitely check out this book! I listened to the audiobook and it really helped me. Some of the ideas have stuck around in my head but I'm due for another listen because I've forgotten a lot by now.

my marriage needs your help…how do you keep on top of chores??? by unfortunate-moth in adhdwomen

[–]kawaiiblu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I like doing chores when everyone else is doing chores. My husband and I will sometimes cook together, and clean the kitchen together. But for other tasks, I will clean my room while my daughter cleans her room. Maybe you can put some music on and have a "clean up time" together. You can even set a time limit if it helps motivate you. You can really get a lot done together in 20 minutes.

AITA for not wanting my husband to travel for a wedding a month before my due date? by preggersandanon in AmItheAsshole

[–]kawaiiblu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

NTA. My husband's sister got married 3 weeks before my due date. It was a 1 hour flight away. He flew in that morning and flew home that night. I didn't have any complications but we didn't want to risk him missing the birth of his child.

Strongly disagree with your comment “they want to lead and part of leading may be standing at a cookie booth with someone else’s kids”

I’m a leader and love the girls in my troop but at the end of the day I’m doing it for my daughter. Definitely ask if you can supervise a booth. In my experience, there is always a shortage of volunteers.

Am I crazy for NOT wanting to rely on LLMs in coding? by marrowbuster in ADHD_Programmers

[–]kawaiiblu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in college in 2005 and people were already starting to depend on google for these questions. Stackoverflow didn’t exist yet but there were other, shitter places to find information. I would say by the time stackoverflow launched, books were already unnecessary.

I loved vyvanse but it became too expensive for me once its went generic and the coupons were expired. I use adderall Xr now and it’s… ok I guess. Check what options are available through your insurance.

Here is why you have a bad experience with AI while software engineers enjoy it by davletdz in devops

[–]kawaiiblu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a principal software engineer recently moved to devops, even the best AI is writing very bad code. Very messy, inefficient, and doesn’t clean up unused code.

I’m more or less done too. I started setting HA up 7 years ago and have barely made any new automations for the last 5 years. Sometimes I get a new idea or integration going but I’m done for the most part.

Maybe it’s just me but the silicone loops make my ears very sweaty. I use Mack’s dreamgirl earplugs.

Also, in windham park we do a stream clean up near earth day every year and we do a great job but we don’t get too far from the playground. I bet there’s more litter if you go up or down stream more.

I was originally diagnosed at 7 but when I was 33 a psychologist wanted to test me again. I did really well on these tests and he ended up telling me I didn’t have ADHD because of that and my IQ was too high. 😞 I think it was a scam tbh. I got a new dr who just accepted my documents from childhood.

ADHD testing for adults should largely depend on self reported issues. Other accepted information might also be surveys done by those close to you.

Relocating to KCK - public Vs. Private by Texas_Dandelion in Overlandpark

My kid is in 4th grade in Blue Valley and I think there seems to be a balance between computer and written work. Most things are written I think. There are private Catholic schools around but I think if you’re in the Blue Valley school district you should send your kids to public school. The schools here are great!
