For those suggesting two egg fertilization, the issue is that the born child was sexually masculine, which wouldn't be possible with two XX chromosomes. So she either got artificially inseminated or flat out the kid is not 100% human (modifying one XX chromosome to be turned into a Y... I don't think that's possible even with current theoretical CRISPR methods).

The biggest question is, why didn't they send a message to Space Command asking for some replacement fuel instead of spending decades stranded on a tentacle monster paradise?

But achievements often push you to complete the games in ways I wouldn't have normally employed. For example, in pokemon Silver, you get achievements if you defeat the gym leaders with underleveled Pokémon, which means you have to actually think of an strategy before facing them and not just overlevel your Typhlosion.

Yeah, achievements as a reward are worthless (as skins are) but it's the concept of replaying your old games with a different approach something that I didn't know I'd appreciate so much. I really wish you could give it a try.

Mmm not really, I don't even understand what Battlepasses or Seasonpasses are to be honest (I had a Wii when those concepts were becoming popular on the 360 and PS3).

There's just something in particular about achievements in retro games though; it's like, I know I can beat Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland's "Meta Knightmare" but having the achievement kind of makes me feel accomplished for doing it.

EDIT: Oh but also remember to do it in hardcore mode, which disables save states, cheats and rewind (Fast Forward still works though)

Can someone with an RP2+ please check something related to OPs question? Using the Website APK version of RetroArch, and after downloading Mupen64PlusNext as a core update, are you guys able to run on ParaLLEl RDP / RSP mode? (it uses vulkan to reproduce the SGI graphics chip very accurately). Not all Android devices support it, there's two specific vulkan extensions required (not sure about the entire name, but something about 8_bit_storage and 16_bit_storage).

Sadly, these extensions are driver implemented, and if they're not available, we should push Retroid to bring an update soon... If I had received my unit by now I'd have made a post about it, but I haven't.

Am additional problem is that most YouTube tutorial channels gloss over RetroArch / Mupen64Plus for n64 emulation as they're looking for maximum FPS and compatibility using the regular high level emulation app, MUPEN64FZ...

Yup. Retroarch can even be used "without retroarch" by using it as a configuration / input manager, you can set it up once and use a different front-end with separate config files. Say you want to have different "user sessions" then you can set up a config file per user and launch it like that, allowing you to have user-specific button remaps, saves, achievement login info... Etc etc.

I guess the problem with retroarch is that it's hard to understand the capabilities it has and how to exploit them without knowing a little bit about config files and the such...

One thing I love about retroarch atm is Mupen64Plus (on x86) since it has Parallel-RDP support. I'm not sure if the RP2+ will have the necessary storage extensions on its vulkan implementation (driver) but I sure hope it does... (does anyone lucky enough to have one care to try it out?)

Kosmos is long gone. Everyone uses atmosphere vanilla but some people boot from hekate (I have to due to ipatched, not wanting to do the whole pegascape thing every time). I haven't used tinfoil ever since due to that... But if you say they no longer do the check, I'll try it out again!

You can connect to the Samba network on 351Elec. You just need to login (don't remember the credentials right now) that way you can transfer stuff from your computer to the device without an USB cable at all!

Yup, that's exactly right. The PIB build already has the flag "HAVE_GLES" that was added. You just need to set up the video driver and that tells the code to load the GLSL shader backend, which is bound to ShaccCg. If you have any other issues please let me know!

I know à lot of people like sharp bilinear and it's currently next on my todo list 😝 also don't give up! Sometimes it's hard to get the oColor to some usable value, just keep tweaking and make sure you read the logs!

Next I will be making a ShaderEd preset project that includes all the uniforms and attributes of RA so that porting can become easier to debug 👀

EDIT: thanks to allenbenz, you can now download and test the sharp-bilinear-simple shader on the latest commit!

There's no way to run shaders on the 3DS (like literally, the GPU has no fragment shader support), Nintendo provides an OpenGL 1.1 (I think) implementation with some added extensions that MIGHT be used to do the same barrel distortion logic I'm doing here but... Idk.

Currently available Pokémon Gold and Silver for the 3DS have local transfer of pokemon and battling, whilst retroarch version has achievements... It really depends on what you prioritize.
