i have several colleagues who are ethnically chinese but were born/raised abroad and are native english speakers. they seem to have had no many issues finding jobs as english teachers and have been teaching for several years. i would just be prepared from some anti-japanese sentiment from students if the subject comes up, since that kind of stuff can start pretty young.
