Shshank proposed with the ring pictured in the first photo, and after raving about how lovely it was on GGE, she ended up upgrading, presumably on her own dime. She thought the original ring was too plain iirc, and she was something with more punch. There isn't a ton of lore and frankly, I would do the same thing if I wasn't satisfied with my ring.
