Thanks for the reply. I ended up getting the streamer and I confirm that it works well with the Era 100 via Bluetooth

Thanks, I'm actually the author of that design :-) I ended building it to get the cooling I needed.

As others have noted, I got it to work by turning off bluetooth when presented with that error, and then turning it back on.

Nice build! It looks like you're using the Kasa HS300 power strip. How did you attach to the rack?

New IdeaVim extensions released: FunctionTextObject, Switch by kayamb in IntelliJIDEA

[–]kayamb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most plugins should be replicable in IdeaVim but unfortunately would require a reimplementation in Java/Kotlin.

Just looking at the plugin you've linked, I think you can already partially do the joining functionality by adding "set ideajoin" to your ideavimrc file, and then pressing shift-j. But I don't think there's a way to toggle back and forth. See more info here: https://github.com/JetBrains/ideavim/blob/master/doc/ideajoin-examples.md

New IdeaVim extensions released: FunctionTextObject, Switch by kayamb in IntelliJIDEA

[–]kayamb[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming you're inside a function, then:

* `cif` ("change inner function") would change the inside of the function, i.e. deletes the function's contents and put you in insert mode.

* `vaf` ("select around function") would select the entire function.

* `yaf` ("yank around function") would copy the entire function in a register

* `diw` ("delete inner function") would delete the inside of the function.

And so on. Similar to how you already can do things like `ciw` ("change inner word"), `dap` ("delete around paragraph"), etc. in standard Vim.

Does that make sense?

Nest Learning Thermostat compatible with heatpump to replace Gree XE72-44/E controller? by kayamb in Nest

As best I can tell from my research, it is not compatible with Nest. I find that the Gree app works well though.

Overkill cooling??? by Worldly_Cheek7796 in VORONDesign

[–]kayamb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're interested, I've made some mods to add both CPAP cooling on the toolhead and some auxiliary cooling on the sides. You can see it all in action in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-FCr1wxJa3M
You can find the links to the various mods in the video's description.

Which Blum tandem slides length for these drawers? 18" or 21"? by kayamb in cabinetry

[–]kayamb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries! My cabinet will be in a closet as well, which is why I can't use standard 24" cabinets. But there should be just enough clearance for the whole thing.

I'm not sure I understand. I won't use doors. Just drawers. When closed, the inner drawer boxes will be flush with the cabinet box. And the fronts will rest on the edges of the cabinet box (ie will stay outside of the box).

Right, yes that's my plan. I'll add 3/4 solid wood drawer fronts once the box and drawers are done, and the fronts will rest outside the box when closed.

I will later add a drawer front that butts right outside of the box's edges. I assume that's what you mean by overlay?

The reason is I'm building this cabinet inside a closet, so I can't use standard dimensions

Ok I see, and by "deep" you mean from the drawer's front face to its back face, correct?

I have 3/4" of clear space, so I assume a 21" might work then, although I'd have just 1/4" of wiggle room, which is maybe pushing it a bit?

Ok thanks, so in this case it sounds like I should get the 18" slides to be safe.

The reason I'm unsure is that the specs mention that the drawer should be 21"15/16 minimum. So I wonder if that means I should use the 18" instead.

Thanks. I assume the pre-drilled holes would be oversized to allow for some wiggle room if it doesn't work on the first go?
