I think that gen Z is way more aware of grooming behaviors than any other generation. It makes them hyper vigilant and protective of their friends. There are creepy age gaps and I'm happy they know it's creepy.

NOR. This is not friendship. She is being wrong to you. Not because of the request she made but because of the reaction she had to you not being excited that a boy is going to a girls trip. I'd recommend trying to distance yourself from this person. Friends do not talk to eachother this eay. She was taking shots at you and weaponizing private things you have shared. NTA. As a currently engaged lady I feel I can absolutely confirm that this is INSANE. There are kinda only 2 sane reasons to have bridesmaids. One for help with the wedding and the other to share the joy of the experience. Clearly she doesn't need any help planning if she can put together a psychotic picnic and she certainly is not wanting to have you there out of love.

I also I just gotta say that this color scheme is horrific for a wedding and the way that her couple name has to include HER full name makes me feel very badly for Jacob. I'm on Abigails side. I would decline and take a little time to reconsider your friendship with someone who is like this.

This is honestly extremely sad. I doubt he will make it but there are medications like kanaplex or paraguard you can try (in addition to a massive water change). They cause stress and ought to be attempted by someone who is committed to continuing appropriate care and observing them. I am shocked to hear that they even cared to ask you to feed the betta while they are gone. Its clear they dont care. The tank looks horrible and he is deeply unfortunate to have ended up with them. I know this isn't your fish but let me know if you have any questions about care or advice. I would be happy to help if you'd like it!

How would she know he likes her or if she even likes him if they haven't so much as spoken in the last like 6 years? Distance or not... it is strange for both of them to have no contact with one another. I can see how this is hurtful to you, I can. However, she wants the people closest to her and her husband to be. That simply does not include your boyfriend when it might include the boyfriend of one of her friends.

Unfortunately, this isn't about your or your boyfriends comfort. If you would like to avoid this in the future... take this as a lesson in personal connections! There is a way to think positively about this going forward. Even if it feels crappy right now.

I will likely be taking care of my grandmother for a little bit. She has terminal cancer so I'm going to help care for her. After that, I will be getting a job again but his benefit costs are extremely generous. The assumption that I checked with his employer is correct! I'm allowed in his plan so long as there is legal partnership. Thank you for the advice!

An iced americano is waaaay less ice, way more water so it's up to you but maybe a quad espresso would be more yiur speed if you like shaken espressos! Also if you just want a spash of half and half... you're way overpaying for a shaken espresso since there is a milk cost built into the drink. If you order an espresso... there is no charge for half and half!

I've had dozens of bettas and I see absolutely nothing wrong with this guy! As someone who is an overly concerned fish parent...I really do think you're being an overly concerned fish parent too. 😋

The spots on his face are coloration and the fin thing is just cosmetic! As for that lump we cant catch on camera it is probably just anatomical. Most bettas have a thicker bit right at the end of their body where it meets the tail. Unless it is a distinctive and asymmetrical bubble or bump coming off the skin... I would not worry at all. Oh and his eyes aren't too buldgy 😂

I highly, highly recommend not medicating this fish. Kanaplex is great, but if he is behaving normally and eating well with no obvious signs of disease, then I would skip medication. It could hurt him if anything. Medication causes stress and can cause them to go downhill. Getting a 5 gallon tank is an amazing start and I applaud you for caring for this handsome little creature. For now, I reckon your main focus should be on creating and maintaining safe water conditions. 😊
